Description

This is a Connecticut Listing, Offered for sale is one of my pride and joys. I purchased this 06 Rubicon with 5K miles in 2006 from the original owner. 10 years later it is still completely stock and now has 69,345 miles. If you are new to Jeeps understand that this is the last year of the Rubicon Model with a inline 4.0 six cylinder motor. It is the last year of the TJ model overall and many consider it the last real jeep. You will consistently see Jeep Wranglers with the inline 4.0 on the road and being sold with over 250K miles with many that have beenwell maintained in the 350k range for total miles. If you do not understand the difference between a Rubicon and a Sahara, Sport or X, please look on line. It is not just the sticker on the hood. This is one of the rarest of colors with a rare automatic transmission and full doors. Proven to be one of the most desired Wranglers ever manufactured, this is a extremely clean, always garaged, well cared for daily driver. Though a New England Jeep it was washed religiously every time it was exposed to winter weather and it shows. This is a awesome Jeep. If I did not havea 06Rubicon in a LJ version, I would never sell this Jeep. In these economic times I just cannot justify keeping both. When you get tired of looking at the rusty junk take a good look at this jeep. The Rubicon has just received a new factory fuel pump, new front tires, a alignment, a full emissions service and a fresh detail inside and out. It runs drives and goes down the road perfectly. The soft top is original to the jeep and has seen no winters and very little use overall. I installed a new set of OEM Tinted window curtains last year (my old set went on one of my sons jeep) and the zippers work perfectly. The top has had one small repair that would be hard to find if you didn't know what you were looking for. This Rubicon has a clean original rust free frame that has never been repaired in any way. This Rubicon still has all of the factory glass and the original one model year only Moab Wheels. It has had some paint work and the drivers side fender and rocker were professionally replaced. There was no suspension damage. This was not a roll over. Itwas professionally repaired with all OEM partsandhas passed Connecticut DMV Inspectionreceiving a new title.
I've had a couple of questions about the repair. There is a picture of what the Rubicon looked like after the non licensed, uninsured non US citizen decided to pass me on the left while I was making a left turn.
The second is what the jeep like looked like after the front fender and damaged body side skin were removed.
The third is afterrepair with the jeep in primer prior to inspection. The new fender and body side skinare OEM and were purchased froma Chrysler Dealer. The original spot welds were drilled out and the new panel was attached in the factory location and welded in place. You would have to be a very experienced bodyman, that knew Wranglers, to pick up onthe repair. 99.999% of the population would never know.
As you can see from the pictures the accident was not a huge deal. I pushed the insurance company for the total lose because the adjuster convinced me thatthe frame was bent even thoughI drove the Jeephome after the accident with no issues at 70-75 down the highway. The adjusterwas incorrect. Once we gotthe Jeeponthe framemachine and measured it per factory specs it wasdetermined that thebody had shifted on the mounts and the frame was infact straight.
The insurance company paid me off for the value of the Jeep. (well above NADA)I purchased it back salvage. I repaired the Jeep and took it through the State of Connecticut Rebuilt Vehicle Inspection. The finish paint was applied in a commercial paint booth. I drove the jeep this past winter as my daily driver. The winter has passed. The weather is nice and my LJ is out of it's winter hibernation.I have painfullydecided to let my Orange Rubicon go in order to finance another project.
The Rubicon has a clean Rebuilt Title and is readyfor it's new owner.
I encourage any interested party to come and look at this Jeep in person. You will not be disappointed.
Priced at market. Try to find another 2006 Orange Rubicon Automatic.
I have a Hardtop and the factory Navigation package available but they will not be sold with the Jeep at the listed price. I will provide a OEM radio or a aftermarket radio with the Jeep, your choice. The rest of the premium sound system is intact including the factory sound bar, dash speakers and sub woofer. You can here the stereo while driving with the top down, even on the highway, loud and clear.
Serious cash in hand parties only. The Jeep is to be paid for with certified funds before the title is transferred and it leaves my property. I would be happy to assist in arranging transportation or the loading your shippers truck after your purchase. I may also be willing to deliver, depending on the distance, for a fee. Sorry I will not quote shipping this vehicle all over the country. Unless you have a late model 50+hp 4x4 tractor with a loader, enclosed cab, factory remotes, with heat and ac I am not interested in a trade of any kind.Yes that means I am not interested in the car that your grandmother gaveyou. Sorry, I might be interestedin yourgrandfathers late60's American muscle, if it is a convertible.
I've had Jeeps since I was in school. That was a long time ago.I know them well.
