2001 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT *READ*
I was recently in a car accident as you can see in the photo. I drove it for about another month after the accident. You can see i simply taped a Lincoln tail light to the jeep to make it legal. Below I will list the good and bad.
Bad:In a car accident where I was hit in the rear left side and I slid into another car causing the front damage. The Jeep also has a "No Bus" error on the dash causing the gauges to not work or be intermittent. The body line isn't straight after the accident (See photos). Drivers seat had a broken weld from me going though the seat during the accident.
Good: New water pump, fixed the air conditioning so it would hold air (So it would work, only partial charge). New serpentine belt, well maintained, nice stereo and was always a really dependable truck. 4WD works great, Engine in good running condition and runs really well, trans shifts great.
I am an adult engineering student at U of M and needed my jeep to make it at least 2 more years. I have babied it, the motor, trans and transfer case are in great condition for the mileage. I couldn't fix the physical damage. The truck did run fine after the accident while I was driving it for the last month and has been parked since then. I start it every few days to make sure it's fine and it starts right up. The Jeep drove straight but the door is hard to open because the lines are not straight. I wish i could have fixed it.
