1965 Jeep CJ5 for bid on a no reserve auction. I bought this from the guy that did the restoration and have owned it for several years now. It was kind of just a novelty vehicle that I would occasionally cruise around the farm or into town on. Always gets a ton of looks. The previous owner did an exceptional job on the restoration. The frame and undercarriage are all smooth and black- no rust or scale. The body is a full fiberglass tub with green gelcoat. Currently, I have a bimini top on it with a rollbar. It also comes with a full soft top and a period correct factory hard top with doors. The motor was completely rebuilt and upgraded with new starter, electronic ignition, plugs, wires, etc. It starts right up and really runs great. Has factory 4 cyl, 3 spd manual and twin stick transfer case. Has a fold and tumble rear seat which is great for either hauling stuff or the kids around for a quick trip. The fiberglass has no cracks but does have some chips and holes in the gel coat from mounting the hard top and doors. Right now, it has period correct 7.5-16 mud/snow tires on factory wheels which do great for traction. It also comes with the original military style bar tires that are in good shape. I also have a steel hood in good condition that will come with it and some other various parts. I really hate to sell this but I don't use it very much and figured it was time to thin the herd a little so to speak. It tops out around 55-60 mph so I wouldn't highway cruise too much but it actually is very fun and easy to drive down the road. It's never left me down! All lights work, trans and 4x4 all engage. Clutch and brakes are good. Windshield has no cracks and the hard top has all new glass and gaskets. Since the top speed is kind of low and I have a ton of extra parts, I'd recommend picking it up in person with a trailer. I could possible delivery within a few hundred miles for an extra fee- just email me your zip code and I'll let you know if I'm interested in going there. This is an awesome jeep that turns heads every where it goes and looks really nice. It will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder so bid to win! $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due in cash in person within 7 days unless other arrangements are made prior to the end of the auction. I'm pretty easy to work with, just like to be upfront and honest in all the transactions. Any questions, don't hesitate to give me a call at 563-676-2032.
