Great running 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport edition. I've had ownership of this vehicle for 5 years. In that time, the following maintenance has been performed: - New Alternator and Battery - New Radiator - New water pump - New cooling fan - Regular Oil Changes and Tune-ups
The good, the bad and the ugly.
First and foremost, this vehicle runs great! A/C and heating system works very nicely and no powertrain issues at all. Most of the electrical components work i.e. Windows, radio, sunroof etc.. With the exception of the front power seats. The seats DO move forward and backwards, yet the button that controls lowering and increasing the height of the seat is not operating. Otherwise, everything else is electrically in good working condition.
This Jeep does have the usual wear and tear on it. The drivers front seat is very much torn. I had a seat cover on it but took it off to provide full transparency (see images). There's a button missing that adjusts the bass on the stereo, yet it still works (slides up and down).
The check engine light is on and has been since I bought the vehicle. I was told that it was a sensor and I had it replaced.Light went off for a week and came back on yet the shop told me it was nothing to worry about...Been driving it for years without an issue.
Some dings and dents here and there on the vehicle. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I purchased this vehicle at an auction. At the time (5 years ago) it had minor rear end damage to it. I had to replace the rear bumper cover, tail light, lite body work on the passenger side quarter and replaced the rear shock. Due to all that, the vehicle has been issued a salvage title (was in a wreck). I was fine with this due to the fact that I saw the damage prior to purchasing and had the vehicle repaired at a professional shop. Again, the vehicle has given me zero issues after the repairs were done (mainly due to only being minor body damage). I was pleased with the work the shop did, you cannot notice any previous damage.
Sorry for the wall of text, but my intention is to be fully transparent with what I'm selling, as I would want the same experience as a consumer.
This would be a great "get around" or heavy loading vehicle. This jeep was very reliable for me and I hope you find good use in it! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like a private showing of the vehicle. Thank you.
**I had to relist this item due to the winning bidder not having the funds. (Scroll to last picture). PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FINANCIAL MEANS TO DO SO. That is just good business etiquette and just plain common sense.
