Description |

Up for auction is a 1931 Ford Model A Pickup. Closed cab-all steel-cab was manufactured by E.G. Budd for Ford with a steel roof; also has very hard to find wide bed. Older restoration on a very solid and rust free vehicle. Not show ready but very nice driver! Has a few things that could be touched up here and there but presents very nice and is a ton of fun in present condition!
Runs and drives well-starts right up and drives very wellconsidering the age of vehicle.
Paint very presentable-has a couple scratches and minor corrosion in a couple spots but looks good overall and could look great with some minor TLC.
Interior clean-no rips or tears and all therebut headliner loose in a couple spots and missing floor covering.
Very hard to find in closed cab configuration as most of the A trucks had the fabric roof-most of the Budd steel roof cabs were used on AA and larger trucks. My understanding is this makes it quite rare; as they were only produced late 1931.
Your ticket to vintage fun-ready for those cruise nights; parades; and car shows? Have a clean vintage vehicle with a unique twist that separates it from the crowds of Model A's out there!
Willing to assist with shipping nationally and internationally-message for details. Have local hauler can deliver within 250 miles very reasonably.
Bid to win-no reserve on this rare find!
In response to questions that I have received:
Engine serial # A4665390
Engine has a tag from a rebuilder out of Reno (when restored engine was rebuilt in the early 80's)
No rust or patch panels evident
Did measure paint with depth gauge and highest (thickest) paint depths below:
drivers front fender 19 mil
drivers rear fender 9 mil
drivers side cab corner 8 mil
drivers side cowl 4.5 mil
passenger front fender 18 mil
passenger rear fendr 15 mil
passenger side cab corner 7 mil
passenger side cowl 21 mil
(Body fillergenerally causes an error reading-the thicker spots might have a skim coat of filler; but not a huge amount.)
Runs and drives really well. Appointments for 3rd party inspectors welcome with 24 hour notice; best to be performed during normal business hours if possible.
Delivery available to Southern California area or within 250 mile radius of 89410 zip codefor $1.25 per loaded mile (open car hauler private transporter) after vehicle is paid in full and cash paid for transport on delivery.
