Clear Title. Pink Slip In Hand. This is an Original CA Car: 1st purchased in Santa Monica, A in Oct. 2000.
This car is being offered to a buyer OUT OF CALIFORNIA...due to the Service Engine Soon light being illuminated and this being a non-emission related issue. The fault indicator is related to the torque converter. The Malfunction Indicator Light/Only Fault is for Transmission Fault. Mechanic followed BMW procedure for setting readiness: vehicle driven for multiple drive cycles according to readiness file (Note-mechanic confirmed 7 of 8 readiness monitors have been set). DME records fault referring to transmission fault only (torque converter slippage). Mechanic could not set readiness. (repair on 12/4/2015).
Furthermore: any external oil leaks were resolved as to conform to CA State Smog Check visual requirements (repair on 6/4/2015), s well resolved excessive emissions as well in regard to repair and replacement of Air Mass Meter Boots (repair on 10/6/2015).
If it weren't for the Service Engine Soon light being on (which is an automatic "fail" according to CA Smog Check's stringent regulations), would be keeping this car to enjoy for years to come. A non-emission issue.
At this time, ue to the Service Engine Soon light being on, he car will NOT pass through the CA Smog Check regulations.
Without passing smog here in CA, t CAN NOT be re-registered here in the state.
