After all these years it still irks me that ebay doesn't know what a Merkur is! Anyway. This is a two for one sale. The main vehicle is a 89 Scorpio. It does run but needs work. It has rust. The driver's door has a hole that looks like a previous repair. The bondo cracked and fell out and there is rust through there. Also the rockers have rust through. This was originally a MA. vehicle The interior is in very good shape. Some fading but no rips or tears. Dash is cracked. The overhead console has fallen down but still functions. The headliner needs work. Sunroof works. Power windows and seats and locks work. All glass is intact. No body damage except for the above listed door and rust. Needs paint, transmission, right rear caliper( I have old caliper for core exchange)and I'm sure numerous other things for a car this age. It has been sitting for years. I have recently started it and it does run. Will go into gear but barely moves, which is why it was parked in the first place. These cars are notorious for their A4LD transmission failures. It can be repaired and the right tech (or yourself) can rebuild it and make it a reliable transmission. I love these cars. They handle well ride well. Car was only imported two years. Very few left. I just recently.started back working on it, but realized I have too many other projects and had to prioritize. As I said in the beginning this is a two for one. In the last pic is an 88 Scorpio. Does not run and has been used for parts. This car has surface rust as shown, but the body is sound rust wise EXCEPT for the fact the frame is bent. Can it be straightened? I don't know. There is bondo on the passenger side roof by the sunroof, which won't open. When it was running it went through front tires like a knife through butter.The transmission on this car is also bad. It also is missing the right rear caliper. I bought the car at auction and found out a lot about this car by accident. I drove it without that caliper and never noticed til I rotated the tires the first time! I'm sure I'm missing something. This/these ca(s)r are sold as is where is. If something doesn't operate that I said operates it's by mistake not intentional omission. If you know these cars then you know what you're in for. If you don't I advise doing some research. I believe this would be a fine car to restore. If the car(s) sell for over $2000.00 I'll include a full set of KYB gas shocks/struts (4). Also, only one car will come with the alloy wheels. Steelies will be substituted. You must arrange for pick up/delivery. Ask me anything you need to know. Will send more if needed. Both cars have clear titles and a title transfer must be done before the vehicles leave my possession.
