This outstanding 1955 2nd series Chevrolet Short Bed Truck has been well cared for and in the same family for nearly 30 years. It has been the well known icon for the Train Wreck Saloon in St Louis Missouri for many years. It has had a recent body on restoration keeping as much of the original parts of the truck as possible. Chassis and brakes are as original, just updated and maintained as needed through the years. All of the sheet metal is original to the truck showing no signs of rust. Recent respray of exterior in maroon basecoat clearcoat. Shows incredibly well. The 265 V8 looks to be original to the truck. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic with a Lokar shift lever to select gears. The truck was completely rewired about 3 years ago with an American Autowire Factory Fit kit. . All lights, turn signals work as they should. The truck has an aftermarket power steering set up with manual brakes. The radiator is a new 4 core aluminum unit. The wood bed floor is recently refinished as well as the bed stake sides. All glass looks clear and undamaged. The interior shows well. The black vinyl reupholstered original seat is comfortable and looks great behind the exterior color matched dash and original steering wheel. Mileage stated is what shows on speedometer at this time.
