This Super Sport 2-door convertible had a dual four barrel carburetors and 4-speed transmission. Starting for the 1961 model year, theSS was an appearance package limited to hardtop and convertible coupe models, available with all engines in theImpala series starting with the base model. This special car features the 409 engine, immortalized in the Beach Boys song of the same name. It is seen here with the Super Sportoptions, including swirl pattern side molding inserts, matching cove inserts, specific full wheel covers, and all vinyl bucket seat interiors.
This is a rare car, and there are very few of these left, especially in this condition.
