You are bidding on a very low mileage 2004 C5 Z06 Corvette, 405 HP, 400 Lb-Ft., with a 6 speed manual. This is a "no disappointments" car--looks great, ready to drive anywhere. I have owned the car since 2011. I bought the car with about 7,000 miles on the clock. The car is in excellent condition, as follows:
Paint: Excellent for its age; car is not a trailer queen but has been driven. Great gloss.
Glass: Clear
Interior: Excellent--still smells new, no smoking.
Driving conditions: Only in good weather, no rain or snow. I have not tracked the car. The underside of the car looks very clean.
Features: Everything works as it should. This Z06 features traction control, active handling, anti-lock brakes, dual zone climate control, "heads up" display, limited slip differential, and an aluminum and steel frame that is both very strong and very light. The 2004 Z06 was the product of steady improvement over the model run and had the best features of all C5 Z06s--the best fuel delivery system, the best tuned bushings and shocks, and the most reliable engine. This may be the most reliable sports car around today, including brand new ones!
Modifications: Car is stock with these few exceptions: Borla cat-back exhaust and diff plate spelling "Z06, with OEM titanium exhaust also coming with the car; skip-shift delete; removable (velcro straps) trunk partition (pictured); carpeted trunk lid liner (pictured); modest tint on side and rear glass, which helps keep it cool during the hotter months; aftermarket carpeted mats.
Maintenance: Mobil 1 5w-30 oil at 79% life remaining; all other fluids and filters changed when I bought the car or as needed thereafter; AC Delco battery bought 6 months' ago; Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires in OEM sizes bought 6 months' ago. The car comes with a NOAH indoor-outdoor car cover fitted to the car. You can see the cover sitting in the trunk in one of the pictures.
Collectors: According to the Corvette Black Book, this is one of only 1,186 black 2004 Z06's; one of only 237 Z06s with memory option delete; and one of only 142 of all 2004 Corvettes with museum delivery--this may be the only 2004 Z06 with all three in common. By comparison, a numerous 2,025 "Commemorative Edition" (blue with stripe package) 2004 Z06s were built. Build sheet, window sticker, tear sheet, owner's manual and promotional brochure come with the car and are pictured.
Carfax: In this case, the Carfax can be misleading. First, you will see an accident on Nov 23, 2003. This occurred while the car was at the dealer and was a minor front end scuff. You'll never know it happened and there is no accident report I can find. This was a museum delivery car and it was bought by a dealer for personal use. I was told he had a very minor scuff almost immediately and had his dealership's body shop wet sand the scuff. Second, the Carfax ownership path seems wrong. The car was owned by one of the owners of a dealership in Ohio, sold to a doctor who moved three times (Ky (near Ohio), Calif and Florida), and sold to me, as I understand it.
Mileage may change slightly as I drive the car on weekends. I am happy to answer questions--404-408-2772.
My NEW reserve is a quite reasonable $25,201.00. Best bid over that reserve takes it home. The buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping, but it would be my pleasure to assist with both.
