This 1966 Volvo 122 S, also called the Volvo Amazon in Europe, has had the same owners since 2002, starts every time, and runs and drives quite reliably. We (the owners) have a European sports car restoration shop and have found this Volvo to be among the most reliable of our vintage daily drivers. These Volvos are becoming quite rare, and this is a great example of a daily driver in need of cosmetic tlc, as well as an excellent candidate for a full restoration. There are 98, 675 original miles on the car, the odometer is functioning.

This Volvo is a two tone green with tan interior, the green on the body is very dark green and the roof is quite light. Both the body and interior are unrestored and mostly original, and the car will need an overall cosmetic restoration to be brought to its full potential. The body is quite straight and solid with no major damage, there was some surface rust that has been primed to stop it as shown in the photos. The chrome is straight and solid overall, and for the most part free of dings and dents. The front bumper could use some serious polishing or replating. The seats present as shown and will need to be reupholstered or covered. The gauge console is original and functional, and the dash will need some cosmetic help. A cassette player was added.

Mechanically the car is mostly original with no major replacements. The brake servo was rebuilt in 2002, one of the front calipers was replaced. Other than that is has needed nothing other than basic general upkeep. It has never given us any problems worth noting.
