One of a Kind 1947 Willy's Jeep (CJ-2A)
This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic and Jeephistorian. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled - you won't find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy's. Lots of fun to take off-road, or cruise around town with the windshield down. See below for details on each component. Thanks!
Frame:
  • Complete frame-off restoration
  • Sand-blasted
  • New rear frame crossmember
  • Fully boxed front frame horns
  • Olive Drab DuPont Centari paint
  • Eight new spring hangers
  • Frame checked for alignment
  • Four springs re-arced, military double wrap
  • New bushings and pins, center bolts, four new spring shackles
  • Four new shock absorbers with eight new cotter pins bushings and washers

Rear Axle:
  • Dana 44 with flanged axle shafts
  • Four pinion Power Lock rear differential
  • New ring and pinion in a 4.88:1 ratio
  • Two new drum brakes (11"x2" Wagoneer)

Front Axle:
  • Dana 25 with 4:88 Power Lock
  • Two new cross and roller U-joints
  • Two new sterring knuckle oil seals
  • All new bearings and seals
  • Warn locking hubs
  • Two new drum brakes (11"x2" Wagoneer)
  • N.O.S. Master cylinder with D.O.T 5 brake fluid

Drivetrain:
  • L4, 134 cubic inch Jeep flathead, previously re-manufactured - in excellent condition
  • Re-corded radiator with new hoses, including new anti-freeze
  • T-90 Borg Warner transmission
  • All new bearings & synchronizer rings
  • New second gear and reverse
  • New reverse idler gear
  • New low reverse sliding gear
  • Big Shaft Dana 18 transfer case (completely rebuilt)
  • New bearings and seals - standard 26 tooth
  • Four new driveline U joints
  • Two new engine mounts
  • New transmission mount

  • New gas tank (standard 10 gallon)

  • Re-conditioned Carter WO carburetor. (Comes with an additional re-conditioned carburetor.)
