I recently purchased a restored Cadillac and am selling my two '59 Cadillacs. This auction is for the coupe. If you would like to own both, please feel free to reach out to me. The flat top is going to be in another auction.
This car has a freshly rebuilt 390 4V engine in it. It was bored .030 over with new pistons, rings, oil pump, water pump, thermostat, timing chain, and anything else that was deemed out of tolerance or worn. The engine sounds amazing. The transmission was also fully rebuilt. Both engine and transmission were rebuilt by a professional shop that specializes in classic cars. While the engine was being rebuilt, I had the radiator and gas tank boiled out and repaired. Overall miles on the engine/trans are 15. The car has a brand new dual exhaust system that sounds great. Its not obnoxiously loud, but has a great tone and volume to it.
Other repairs made to the car to get it to "driver" status. The wheel bearings were gone through and new wheel seals added. Both front and rear brakes were fully rebuilt with new shoes, brake hoses, turned drums, and rebuilt wheel cylinders. The power brake booster does need to be rebuilt, however the car does stop as-is.
All exterior lights work, blinkers blink, etc. The instrument cluster is disconnected. I remember some of the gauges worked but cannot recall which ones specifically.
A new engine wiring harness was put in the car. The generator is rebuilt and works great. The starter has been rebuilt and works great as well. The rest of the wiring in the car is in decent shape.
As for rust, all of the rust in the car are shown in the pictures. Both lower rear floor boards were professionally replaced and butt-welded in, so the repair isn't so obvious. The drivers front floor board is good, the passenger front floor board needs to be replaced in one small section.
The rockers, lower quarters, trunk and edges of hood and trunk lid are all in great shape. This car is NOT a rust bucket. It is from Arizona.
The interior obviously needs to be fully restored. I have all the door panels, front and rear for the car. I also have the back seat. I just purchased enough correct material from SMS Auto Fabrics to restore the rear seat. All of it goes with the car.
This car was a different shade of pink when it was new, almost a tan color. I painted the firewall Persian Sand, in preparation to repaint the entire car that color.
All the windows are brand new in the car. The only window its missing is the drivers side rear quarter window.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
You must respond within 24 hours of auction end. Car must be paid for, in full, within 5 days of auction close. The car comes with no warranty expressed or implied. It is highly recommended you come look at the car in person, or send someone to inspect it on your behalf. Ask any and all questions before bidding.
