1987 Porsche 911 Turbo (930)
40,901 miles / Original Dealer-Sold Slantnose Conversion / BBS Wheels
This head-turning 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) comes in a black exterior paint combined with a beautifully contrasting Champagne leather interior. The car is fitted with a Porsche dealer-offered slantnose(“flachbau")conversion by BlackburnDaly, which was done prior to the car’s original delivery in July 1987.
History & Slant Nose Conversion in 1987
As demand for the original 930 Turbo Slantnose exceeded available production*, Porsche dealers offered an alternative using original Porsche parts/panels to offer the slantnose body style to customers who did not get one through Porsche's sonderwunsch (“special wishes”) program.
Only two shops were authorized to perform this conversion, one of them being BlackburnDaly based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. All parts were supplied by Porsche and the conversion looks as though it was done at the factory; all panels line up as they should. It is the closest thing to an original slantnose that you will find.
* The Slantnose930 Turbowas built in very limited numbers between 1981 and 1989. Although exact production numbers are often debated, educated estimates claim that approximately 850 were built for the entire planet. The slantnose option was a highly exclusive upgrade thatcommanded a 60% premium over the total cost of the vehicle.
