Description

No expense was spared in making this vehicle truly cross-country! Approximately less than 15,000 miles on mechanical rebuild.
Engine- 5.7 liter 350 4 bolt main one piece rear seal bored .030 over. Stock intake manifold. Engine and accessories complete as it came from factory. It's all there. Runs very strong, new heads and valve train. All sensors and all engine accessories new at time of rebuild. New motor mounts. Castrol 20w50 synthetic oil used here. This vehicle easily passes California SMOG running on mid grade Chevron 89 octane gas.
Transmission- PATC Raptor3 -700r4 automatic w/overdrive. Professionally rebuilt transmission has Kevlar clutches and a Corvette servo with a drain plug on the cooling fin filter access pan. Heavy duty universal joints. New rear transmission mount.
Cooling system- 4 core radiator with large transmission cooler and a 13' Spal pusher fan located at the radiator intake. Spal fan works with a red illuminated on/off switch located on lower instrument panel. Failsafe thermostat sticks open if it fails. All new heater hoses, even to the rear heat and a/c unit. New heater core installed. New heater and a/c blower fan installed. The duct work for front vents was taken apart, cleaned and reinstalled.
Suspension- New Tuff Country 3/4 ton heavy duty springs with Bilstein shocks up front. New wheel bearings all the way around. New upper and lower control arm bushings and ball joints. Lower control arms are new. Used 1 ton leaf springs in the rear combined with the front springs makes the van 'sit' nicely. Toyo tires on 16" CenterLine Kodiak solid forged one piece off-road grade billet aluminum rims. Rims and tires have same revolutions per mile as stock P235-75R-15 steel wheels. Making the speedometer 100% accurate while increasing the load capacity of the van.
Towing- Class 3 Reese hitch with hookup for electric brakes and lights. Wiring from the 'plug in' is 10 gauge tin coated copper boat trailer wire. Goes all the way to front of van and spliced to the Tekonsha electric brake controller. Dual plug in receptor at hitch location so you can use smaller trailer and have lights.
New ignition, brakes, fuel pump in the gas tank new. New California catalytic converter. The van has a glass-mat leak proof PowerSonic 1000 amp hour battery, custom installed in the normal battery location. Power window motors replaced along with new rubber window seals up front. New front door seals. I have new seals for all the other doors, not installed. It has a Clifford alarm system that is disconnected, needs a new remote. Radar detector and other anti-theft work well.
Blue Tooth stereo with USB, CD and auxiliary with a remote. Sub woofer under power sofa bed needs a volume knob. Entertainment system includes original VCR with small 12volt color TV, separate am/fm cassette sound system in the rear of van above the sofa bed. Headphone jacks in the back of the van as well. Front tinted windshield is about 6 years old. SilverStar headlamps and led lamps in instrument cluster increase visibility. All other running lights are heavy duty extra bright. New rear tail light lenses.
This van does have a couple of things that need some attention, but nothing that keeps it from being a solid driver.
Please note: All references to 'new' in the above description are referenced to the time of the rebuild which took place between summer of 2012 to summer 2013. I towed 20,000 lbs. Florida to California with this van. SMOOTH no problems. This van is solid! No rust on doors, rocker panels or chassis. Pictures of any area of this van are available upon request through ebay's email system.
