Background:

Let me begin with a little background. This gorgeous Rover was ordered as a heavily optioned HSE Luxury model which offered the standard 5.0L engine with full-time 4WD and was adorned with wonderful extras on top of the standard luxury. This HSE Rover Sport features a huge amount of standard amenities such as:

-Soft and beautiful leather interior, with the driver's seat benefiting from electronic lumbar support and three memory position.

-Front parking aids front and back plus a rear-view camera help the driver while maneuvering.

This beauty also features Alloy 20 black lacquered wheels, XM ready radio with HD sound, auto dip headlghts, extended leather package, power tailgate and so much more. The dealer printed me out a 6 page list of features this truck came with! (See below pics)

This stunning Sport was $67,424 before taxes with all of the options! Not to mention the fact it came out of the factory in a beautiful color combination: It is truly in a BEAUTIFUL and CLASSIC color package.

This white beauty though has spent its entire life in sunny, dry, temperate California since new and is rust free!!!! It has always serviced almost exclusively by Land Rover dealers. It has been the pinnacle of service standard and care. And even while being driven low miles, it never sat for than a few days without some local exercise.

It is SUCH a treat to drive such a nice, well cared Sport. She tight, free of rattles and squeaks, no wear on the seats and door panels. Even the switches show no wear. It really changes the experience of Rover ownership drastically and this one is no exception! This truck was babied from day 1 by only two owner. ZERO accidents. ZERO issues. CLEAN Carfax.

The Condition and Service:

This truck has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained and serviced and is a high standard for Rover service! Some receipts are posted below, but do not include nearly all the continued service this truck has seen.

Let's start on the engine and drivetrain:

-ENGINE

This engine has good miles for the year (a normal average of about 12,000 a year with a large majority being highway trips between Palm Springs and LA), 61,000 miles appear on the odometer. It was driven and enjoyed as it should be, but being owned by someone who wanted to enjoy it for decades, it was showed more than generous preemptive care. There has been plenty of scheduled and preventive maintenance performed to this truck to keep the engine in near brand new condition. The motor is very healthy and has loads of smooth power! And a happy Rover will go and go and go happily for hundreds of thousands of miles. And this happy Rover has received LOADS of preventative maintenance to make sure of that. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. NO ABS LIGHTS! NO MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY!

-TRANSMISSION

Shifts are incredibly quick, smooth and almost totally imperceptible.

-DIFFERENTIALS

NO clunks going into gear. Nice and tight

-BATTERY:

Starts right up, no issues cold or hot.

Lets move to the suspension and brakes:

-AIR SUSPENSION

FULLY functioning and in fantastic shape. Raises and lowers as it should, does not drop down to the bumpstops over night.

-BRAKES

Newer brakes pads in the front and rear, the truck brakes great. No ABS lights! No traction control lights or issues!

-STEERING

Super tight steering rack with no slop or play!

-SHOCKS

Nice feeling OEM shocks. They are soft on bumps and tight in corners. The trucks handles wonderfully!

-4WD SYSTEM

4WD Low and High both work great!

Let's continue to the exterior:

-PAINT

The paint is beautiful! It is a 8+/9- out of 10. Shiny, beautiful Fuji White paint was recently polished, finished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. It looks GORGEOUS It has lived its entire life in sunny, dry, Southern California! NO ACCIDENTS! CLEAN CARFAX. NO STORIES. The white paint is deep and has a wonderful luster! No roof fade or chipping! No hood fade or chipping! There are a couple of very minor scratches/dings Remember this is a 5 year old truck, there may be some very minor scratches, very minor wear not discussed in detail etc, but they are well below any expectation level for Rover Sport or cars of this year. Even against more modern cars the paint will compete head to head - it really is beautiful. This is a dry SoCal truck! That means no rust lurking under the surface ready to pop up and ruin your paint! If there was a place to buy ANY Rover, it is dry, warm SoCal. No rain and no road salt! Check out the clean inner doors and jambs! There is some typical fade on the silver Rover lettering on the tailgate and hood.

-TIRES

Loads of tread life left on the tires! Fronts and rears have 65-75% tread left and are nice condition.

-WHEELS

The 20" wheels look wonderful on the Rover! They were just recently cleaned and look great. There are minor flaws/very light curb marks on all 4 wheels, but because of the overall shine and shape, not very noticeable. No major gouges or issues.

-BUMPERS, VALANCES and PLASTICS

The plastics are in wonderful shape and free of the typical sun fade that is so common in them. No big, broken pieces as found on so many other Rovers!

-GLASS/MIRRORS

Not to let a pebble defeat this truck, the windshield is BRAND NEW and in great shape! Beautifully clear glass makes a world of difference. It makes the truck feel brand new! The door glass is wonderful shape!

-UNDERCARRIAGE

Nice undercarriage! No rust, rot or trail scars!

-LIGHTS

Adaptive headlights works perfect with no burnt out bulbs. Xenon lights are bright and clear!

Onto the cabin:

-SEATS

The Arabica Premium Leather seats are in stunning shape! The material is SO soft and comfortable. I truly love driving this truck. You sit high and comfortably in these soft seats! The leather has been VERY well cared for and shows only VERY minor flaws at best. I hate to say that without including specifics, but truly they are that small. The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well and is overall is VERY nice shape! Rear seats are in near perfect shape and have minor use at best. No big wrinkles, no material worn through, no big frays, no slices, or issues. Just gorgeous seats! Even when I get in the truck, I kind of raise myself up a little with the steering wheel as so that I sit down into the seat instead of sliding across it. I would hate to disturb how pretty they are! NON-SMOKERS CAR! This cabin is a PLEASURE to spend time.

-DOOR PANELS

Check out the top of the drivers side door panel. Go ahead I will wait, it's down below. What did you see? NO matted dirt and stains! Nearly every door panel on a Sport has matted and dirty tops, broken door pulls or issue from wear. Not here! The door panels are in wonderful shape throughout!

-HEADLINER

Beautiful, no sags or stains!

-CARPET

Beautiful Nutmeg carpet in the truck! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail.

-POWER SEATS

All power seat functions work perfect!

-POWER WINDOWS

All windows work smooth and quickly!

-KEYLESS ENTRY

The keyless entry system is functional!!!

-RADIO and NAVIGATION

The OEM radio and NAV works great and sounds even better!

-AC/HEAT

Dual zone AC is arctic cold and heat is earth core hot! Heated seats work perfectly! Cooled cubby storage works perfect!

-POWER MIRRORS

Power mirrors work perfectly!

-STEERING WHEEL

The leather is very nice, no tears or issues or issues! It has been conditioned and feels great in your hands! It is a real rarity to find these wheels in good shape!

-CARGO AREA

Rear carpet is fantastic with Range Rover cargo mat in beautiful shape!

The Experience

There is no Rover ownership like owning a well cared for Rover. It is just a much different experience then any other. There is a tightness, a cleanliness, and sense of what this truck was like when brand new. The clunks, rattles and normal wear for any higher mile car is gone. Combined with loads of preventative and scheduled maintenance it really does not get any better for a Rover Sport or any car for that matter. Driving this Sport is fantastic. It pulls and handles like a sports car and is as comfortable as a Rolls Royce. It has all the power it had from the factory an then some, and from even a little gas is torquey and responsive. An off road guy? Though this truck has never been offroaded, one trip in a Sport in the dirt will have you hooked on the famed capabilities!

I hope you can tell by my long ad that this truck is a great pre-owned and beautiful Land Rover. There are other Rover Sport, but if you do find one for sale and it has more methodical service, I urge you to buy it! Remember, Rovers take a little extra care and feeding, so a Rover with 25k miles with questionable, unknown or poor service history is worth about as much as a Slurpee if you add up all the service that will need to be done to make it a reliable, beautiful, solid truck again. Don't spend big money on a truck from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the truck is say a few things they think people like to hear. As you may tell from my ad, I know the care that these trucks need and the details that make them tier 1, from a tier 2 or worse and I hope to have addressed them to those of you that know as well. If an ad says "Low miles and well cared for" Ask questions! If you don't get thorough, well addressed answers, start planning more money and more aspirin. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!
