We are selling our 1963 Buick Convert. It is a nice driver with an older restoration. The paint isn't perfect with some scuffs and light scratches, but presents well. You can see some of the imperfections in the pictures.
It is really fun to drive with the V8 and four speed transmission. The 215CI motor surprisingly has decent power. It feels like a bigger motor than it is. The motor reminds me of a 283 that I had back in the day that acted like a 327.The exhaust sounds great and you get looks wherever you go.
There is some rust through in the floor pans where your feet sit. It has an older patch job, so the floors are safe and feel good under your feet, but you can see the rust through when you look under the car.The trunk looks great.
The drivers door handle works from the inside, but it is sitting crooked. I haven't taken the panel off to see why it is sitting off center. There is a battery draw as the car sits. I disconnect the battery if it is going to sit for more than a day. There is an antifreeze leak at the moment that I intend to have fixed before the auction ends. The water pump was replaced, and it looks like the leak is coming from that seal. The oil leaks out of the drain plug, but again will be remedied soon.As you can see in the pictures there are a couple of tears in the convertible top.Note the front bumper.Brake master cylinder is new, as well as the fuel pump.
It does have a CD player stereo that is not seen in the pictures. I don't listen to the radio in this car. It detracts from the experience in my opinion. The sound of the exhaust is music to my ears.
If you are looking for a perfect show car this isn't it, but if you want a cool cruiser.... a convertible is hard to beat.
I have a few more pictures that Ebay wouldn't let me post. Feel free to email. Thanks for your interest.
