Description

560 SEC with 139K miles. Started as a project with my best friend who passed away after fighting agent orange for two years. The car runs good, goes straight, and stops good. The body is in good shape with no rust.

The car was stored during the last two Winters here in Illinois so to my knowledge the car hasn’t seen snow or salt. I bought the car out of Dallas, Texas and before that I believe the car was in Florida. The underside is clean with no visible rust.

I had the following work performed by an independent Mercedes Benz specialist shop:

· Radiator flush and new fluids

· Brake flush and new fluids

· Front suspension joints replaced

· New accumulators for rear suspension

· H&K lowering springs

· AMG 18” wheels

· Sumitomo tires (less than 750 miles)

· New Sony MP3 stereo

· New speakers front and rear

· Wooden shift knob from Turkey

· Wooden MOMO steering wheel from Japan

· Brand new Cocomat floormats

· Repainted in the original burgundy color

· Replaced front windshield due to mild pitting

· New Diehard battery

What extras do you get?

· Floormats that came with car

· Becker radio

· New spark plugs (not installed)

· New spark plug wires (not installed)

· New distributor cap (not installed)

· New rotor (not installed)

· Fuse kit

What does it need?

· Sunroof motor

· Radio antenna motor

The car is a driver. It’s not show quality but you can take it out and enjoy it with the wife and/or family. There’s little cosmetic things that need to be finished but that’s up to the new owner.

I planned to do all this stuff but the fun kind of went out of it when my best friend passed away. We spent a couple of years building a Factory Five Cobra that was show quality. This was our next project building a car like in the “Roadhouse” movie but better. He passed away on Good Friday. Time for someone else to enjoy it.
