Up for sale we have a 1966 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport. This is a real SS with the 138 Vin. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. The body is rock solid and covered in the Butternut Yellow. When you look down the side it has straight panels with good fit. When this car was painted the bumper as well as other chrome was replaced. All the glass looks good along with its' trim. The grill is also in good condition, but is not new. The weather stripping around the doors and trunk have been replaced. This '66 has the rocker molding and wheel opening molding along with new side badges. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of New Red Line Tires and Rally Wheels with the flat centers.
Next, we will look at the interior of the Super Sport. On the inside it has stock look with the bench seat and Hurst Shifter with the stock style boot. It's done in the two town Fawn seats and door panels. The carpet is in very good condition with the headliner and visors being new. When you look at the dash it has the gauge pack instruments and the knee knocker tach. The radio has been changed to an AM FM and yes it does have seat belts.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it features 1969 model 396. We purchased it to be a solid lift cam 396 375HP engine. It's dressed with an Aluminum Intake, Holley Carb, Chrome Valve Covers and a Chrome Air Breather. The trans is a Muncie Four Speed that's mated to a 12 Bolt Posi Rear End. It has flow master exhaust with stock style manifolds. The Chevelle has Power Steering with standard four-wheel drum brakes. The bottom of it looks very good with solid floors and frame
