Here it is. Almost half my life's work up for sale. If you are looking at this, I do not have to tell you how amazing these vehicles were and still are to this day. Designed to compete with some of the best cars at that time including the Acura NSX and even the Corvette. At 320 horsepower and 315 ft lbs of torque, this was a formidable monster 20 years ago. Those specs are still greater than the majority of vehicles produced today. Using technology based off of the Mitsubishi HSR using technology that was far beyond its years. Active Aero to create downforce where needs and ducting to assist with engine, braking and tire cooling, this vehicle would go 0-60 in just at 4 and a half seconds and a 1/4 mile of just over 13. Now, in 1995, just 1300 of these cars were produced and only 55 in Sorrento Red Pearl. If this car was sitting as it left the showroom, you would have one of the rarest vehicles still on the road.
Now what sets mine apart. I built this vehicle to my exact specs. I can't drive this on the road without people stopping me to talk to me about it. I put a full Jacquemond wide body kit on it. Making the rear almost a foot wider and the front just about 6 inches. With all that extra width, I had to have custom wheels made. I could have just gone the cheap route and gotten a wheel with an aggressive positive offset to fill the gap. But, I wanted to put as much rubber on the ground as possible. For this feat, I reached out to HRE. They were able to help me with a wheel that went as far in as it did out. The tears are 13 inches wide. I have the largest tire that was available until Bugatti had to have custom tires made for the Veyron. Sitting at 355's in the rear and 285's in the front, this car goes nowhere you don't steer it towards. Then to assist with all that grip, I put on a set of Tein coilovers matched to their EDC to control the ride from the drivers seat. To match all that rubber and suspension, I stepped up the front brakes to massive 14 inch rotors and 4 piston Brembo calipers. This car will stop from 60-0 in under 100 feet. Which is faster than most production sport cars today.
Now, living in California and this already being a high emission vehicle, I am limited to what I can add to the motor. So, to compensate for this I pulled the heads and did a full port and polish, 5 angle valve job, all new valves and seals to increase the efficiency of flow topped with Crower high rev springs and titanium retainers. Should you choose to tune this vehicle, it is fully capable of about 8000 RPMs. It revs faster than I would have ever believed. I then punched out my rear cats and did a complete straight exhaust all the way back. I have yet to hear a 3000GT that sounds like mine. Topped with a K&N cold air intake, you can hear it suck in the air it needs to live. All the platforms are in place to continue on this and easily make it a 600 horsepower vehicle. I also threw in a full aluminum, dual core 2 inch radiator to help with the cooling.
I built this car to be a fun and exhilarating daily driver. Which is why I never added turbos or things to it that would cause me to do constant maintenance or make it difficult to smog. This burns so clean that when I took it in last year the smog shop tested it four times because they could not believe how clean it ran.
Since I built this to daily drive, it does show some imperfections you would expect on a daily driven car. I took a rock to the front bumper, which bounced of the hood and then hit the windshield. Also, because it is so wide, there are some chips in front of the rear flares. Finally, when I did this body work, I made it completely seamless. So, it is starting to show some stress cracks where those seems are. The car is being sold as is. As I repair this minor things, the price of the vehicle will increase. But, if you are capable or that does not bother you, you can have what took me years and thousands of dollars to do.
I am very picky on who this vehicle goes to and anyone that thinks they will get this car for Kelly blue book should not even bother. I have the title in hand, and will only be interested in talking to serious buyers. At that point I am happy to set up a time to meet someone to see and possibly drive the car.
