Description

This is a very nice 2 wheel drive, 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. These trucks are seldom found in decent condition, and its rare to find a SHORT WHEELBASE version also. This one has been my personal truck for the last 4 years. This truck still has all original paint, so you may find an imperfection here and there, but its very nice for a 17 year old truck. The engine runs perfect and is very strong. No issues whatsoever and no "check engine" lights on in the dash. If you are a fan of these trucks, then you are well aware that the automatic transmissions in these are the weakest point. This one has been completely rebuilt/upgraded within the last 10,000 miles. I will list the items used in the transmission overhaul. Some of you will recognize the terms, but if not, that's ok too. It has a PTC Triple disc, billet front torque converter, Sonnax Billet input shaft, Alto Red Eagle clutches throughout, Rigid Intermediate band, Sonnax Billet servos, Sonnax billet accumulator, Heavy duty band strut, new solenoids, remanufactured valve body, aftermarket flexplate, etc (This transmission job is $3500 by itself). The shifts are very positive....no slipping or lagging. (When that triple disc converter locks up the truck really takes off)
The interior of the truck is pretty nice overall. The dash pad has been replaced at some point in the past. All gauges work as they should, as well as the heat and A/C. The overhead sunglasses holder is broken...like almost all of these old trucks. I have included a pic of that.
It has new 245/75/16 10 ply tires that have less than 5,000 miles on them. It is smooth as silk down the highway...no vibrations.
It has a Tekonsha brake controller included. Also has a backup camera installed to make hooking up a trailer super easy. (See pics). It also has extendable towing mirrors that you can fold out when pulling a trailer.
The engine block heater works great also. In cold weather, you can plug the truck in, and the next morning, it fires right up and the heater is already lukewarm.
It has a Tri-fold tonneau cover to protect items in the bed. It can be removed in 5 minutes if you need to haul something bigger. It also has a "Swing Case" tool box mounted in the bed that is very handy to keep tools, ratchet straps, gloves, etc. It is lockable so you never have to worry about those items being stolen.
Another important detail about this truck is it is 100% rust free, Only states its ever been in are Alabama and Mississippi. It is as solid as the day it was bought. It has a clean carfax...and I can email a copy to serious buyers. Never wrecked, never stolen, never flooded, etc.
I have no reservations about driving this truck across the country. You can fly in and drive it home!!! I have included pictures of every angle and every flaw....I know you do not want any surprises. What you see is what you get. You will not be disappointed in this truck.
This truck will be for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
