1973 Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 710M Swiss Army Radio Truck
If you are looking at this offer you more likely already know all the great features of the Pinzgauer vehicles so there is no need for me to repeat any of it.
Let me focus on what is different about this one:
The 710M model was usually a 4x4 soft top configuration as a troop carrier for the Swiss Army. There were few radio versions of the soft top 710M and they were used more gently as well as being stored inside due to the radio equipment.
They came in different configurations in regards of the rear interior arrangement but in most cases had some sort of storage boxes or radio mounts instead of the normally four bench seats for 8 passengers. So this one has two bench seats and of course two extra benches could be added at additional cost.
The radio trucks in general are in better condition and have nice, straight floorboards in the rear compared to the troop carriers / cargo trucks which are dented from heavy loads.
This Pinzgauer resided in Arizona since it was imported from Switzerland and it has been completely refurbished. Please know the difference between refurbish and restoration: Restoration is basically a new (or better) vehicle while a refurbished vehicle
is a fully operational and serviceable, as well as presentable vehicle.
My "refurbishing" standards are considered "restorations" by some folks but they still are
"just" a refurbishment. A fully restored Pinzgauer would be priced about double of my asking price.
Speaking of price please do compare and educate yourself about the Pinzgauers.
Normally the "bargain" ends up being the much more expensive vehicle in the long run.
Modifications, lack of maintenance, unprofessional repairs and abuse by current US owners / sellers are very common and can be costly to address.
Original Canvas tops are expensive and so is the professional repair of the Vinyl windows for the rear canvas.
This truck has a NEW, Original front canvas and an excellent rear canvas with newly installed windows.
Everything has been gone through and the vehicle is almost finished, awaiting just some minor details to finish which will be INCLUDED in the sale price and of the same quality what you see in the photos.
Standard issue Military release Pinzgauer 710M's are now going for close to $ 20 K needing work.
Privately owned Pinzgauers average around $ 14 to 16 K in the US and are often in need of costly (sometimes hidden) repairs.
Then there are the Pinzgauers under $ 10K which, even in running condition, need to be considered restoration projects or parts vehicles.
The color on this particular Pinzgauer is ORIGINAL Swiss Army paint and there were three different finish levels in regards of gloss.
I am asking $ 26500 for this one all finished and done, complete with ALL factory tools and accessories, English operators manual and clean Arizona title.
Even though I do not consider this a show truck I had an interested buyer pass on a purchase because "it is too clean and it would be a shame to get it dirty"...
This one is street legal in ALL US states and I am open for any reasonable offers.
The other vehicles in the "group photos" are for sale as well.
Please no trades.
I DO NOT CONSENT TO THE USE OF THIS LISTING, INCLUDING PHOTO IMAGES, FOR OTHER INTERNET SITES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION !
Thanks for looking
