This Lamborghini “open air” Supercar was the End of an Era in Diablo Roadster history!

This 200 MPH "open air" Diablo looks fast standing still. Truly one of world's most outrageous exotic SUPERCARS ever produced. One hundred thirty-two Roadsters were built for US production between 1996 and 1999. The 1999 cockpit received a welcome makeover that truly made the last of the Roadsters’ a work of art {both inside and out}. The Lamborghini’s “driveability” was much improved during the last couple of years with variable valve timing that increased torque and horsepower to both the lower and upper RPM range. Larger wheels were also added that enabled larger rotors for an upgraded Brembo braking system along with standard ABS. Ground pounding 530 horsepower will take you to 60 MPH in first gear, nd then over 100 MPH before you even shift to third! The carbon fiber roof {targa-type} is easily removed and extremely lightweight. The top can be snapped into place over the rear deck lid, o at a moment’s notice you can turn your Roadster back to a coupe. There is not a vehicle ever produced where a removable top actually became part of the "lines" of the automobile when it was removed. Pure Genius! There is no getting caught in inclement weather with your top sitting in the garage. The best of both worlds!

1999 Diablo’s had a completely redone interior from previous models with a new low flowing dash and redesigned airbags. The all new ergonomic center console and dash came with new guage and instrument clusters. The climate control center was upgraded also. On the exterior, he outdated pop up headlights were replaced with more aerodynamic recessed lenses for 1999.

The 1999 model is the last production year for the Roadster, nd along with the many cosmetic and performance upgrades would make it the choice of serious collectors.
