This is a beautifully constructed interpretation of a 1920's Open Wheel Racer. The car started as a Replicar Bugatti Type 35B. The chassis and drivetrain as well as title are from a 1962 VW (which means it is easy and cheap to work on and insurance is non-existent). The entire car was disassembled and sanded down to bare fiberglass. All of the false louvres and rivets were also sanded out. The car was then painted low gloss black. Over 30ft of hand punched aluminum louvres cover the body of the car as well as an aluminum side skirt. All of the aluminum has been mirror polished. The interior is red leather and aluminum with amazing diamond stitched red leather seats. The suspension was lowered to 5" off the ground giving it an amazing stance and feel on the road. The wheels are original 1930 Model A 21" Wheels with custom built adapters. The exhaust is a custom designed triple baffle system that sounds reminiscent of a 1960 Jaguar straight 8 and exits through the driver side hood cowl. The 1200CC motor is very quick considering the weight of the car and the 4 speed transmission with short shifter runs through the gears flawlessly. I drive the car daily on the highway at 70-80 MPH with no problem (keep in mind 70-80 feels like 170-180 in this car). This is a car that loves to be driven, ill get attention where ever it is and will never be outshined by anything else on the street for under. This is a one of a kind build and you will never see another one like it. If interested, atching fenders can also be built for the car.
