Description

Up for auction is a 1973 Ford F100 XLT Ranger. This truck in 1973 is the modern day equivalent of a King Ranch Ford, t came fully loaded with about every imaginable option back in the day. Coveted 390 V8 engine, utomatic transmission, /C, eater, ench seat, -track player, LT & Ranger Package, hrome trim, tc. The previous owner commissioned an extensive 18-month frame-off restoration however it is not 100% complete. This will give the new owner the opportunity to “button-up” the truck and then enjoy it as a daily driver, railer king or show truck. The body was 100% disassembled, ody off frame, he entire body was media blasted so it is 100% rust free, he BASF two tone paint was professionally done. I inherited the task of selling this vehicle after the owner became ill and decided he did not have the time or desire to finish the restoration. I am selling this truck as-is and have represented every nook and cranny of the truck so you can see all the beauty top and bottom as well a few areas that need completion. You will note the following items that need attention, ody mounts need to be secured, river door handle needs to be replaced, river door inside panel needs to be mounted with new clips, ome trim needs to be tightened up, he glovebox door needs to be installed with a few screws and the glovebox insert (included) needs to be installed. I am including some extra new trim pieces as well. The fit and finish is about the same as it was in 1973, ot a modern truck with perfect fit and finish but a true vintage truck in a very original presentation. The custom bench interior and carpet are matching. The paint colors are 1973 era correct but not the original paint codes for this truck. All the glass is in good or new condition, he windshield is new with no cracks, ullseyes or chips. The tires are brand new with less than 50 miles on them. The truck runs and drives however the steering column needs inspection and securing, t is not what I would consider road worthy although I have driven it around town and it runs and drives ok. As with all carbureted engines when they sit they run a little rough. This truck needs to be driven although it fires up with the touch of the key and a tap of the pedal it will run better after it has been driven for a while. The amount of body and paint labor spent on the restoration of this truck is a fraction of the asking price. This truck is perfect for the buyer who wants a 1973 short bed F100 and likes and knows how to tinker with it and button up the loose ends. I estimate that odds and ends parts budget would be less than $1000 and skilled labor of 40-50 hours will complete this project. Please enjoy the 150+ library of photos. These photos were taken 2/5/15 so what you see is what you get. I will happily assist with interstate transportation and we can even arrange transportation for you at your cost with no markup from us. I use Reliable Carriers and they have a terminal location nearby and can deliver coast-to-coast usually in 7-10 days from ship date. Please ask any and all questions you may have. If you want any specific photos taken, lease e-mail me and I will be glad to add them or send them. This truck will not last long, lease bid with confidence and good luck bidding. I require a $1,000 deposit with 48 hours of auction end with full payment due within 7 business days of auction end. Wire transfer is required for payment of balance. Thank you and happy bidding!
