About usIntroduction: Victoria IVThe VehicleA few months ago we did a rare find. This well preserved and maintained Defender was for sale by a local Land Rover enthusiast. For us the perfect project to work with. When we bought it. it was in a really good condition. No rust at all. very well treated and serviced. The chassis was strong and free of rust. We did a full rebuild on the engine. due to its age. We gave her new brakes all around. new suspension and shocks and lots of other parts that showed marks of age. Therefore we can guarantee that she’ll have an excellent second life in the US. The body got a full re-spray and therefor looks like new!LIST OF WORK DONE/ NEW PARTS (see pictures!!)Engine: Complete Rebuild. all new or reconditioned partsBody: Completely stripped. sanded to bare aluminum. professionally painted in 3 layers. From there it was build up with new parts and the original parts that were in still in very good condition and give the vehicle her original appearance. Brakes: All new brakes around. Discs. calipers. pads. etc. Suspension: New springs and new heavy duty shocks all aroundDrivetrain Oils: All new. Gearbox. transfer box. axles. diffs. etc. Chassis: Already in very good condition. coated and painted. see pictures!The EngineThe 3. 5 V8 engine is a very reliable and easy to maintain engine. It was developed many years back so when installed in the Defender it was a fully developed and popular engine. It isn't the most powerful power source in the world. but it pulls good and takes you everywhere. Also the sound of the engine makes your heart beat faster. We carried out a complete engine overhaul. All gaskets new. lubricants fresh. spark plugs. leads. timing chain water pump. hoses and so on. Two K&N lifelong air filters are mounted. The clutch has been replaced for a new heavy duty one. The TransmissionShe has a 5 speed manual transmission. Both gearbox and transfer box work excellent. No weird noises. rattles or what so ever. Selecting gears goes smooth as it should. The Defender is permanently 4 wheel driven. High/low gear and differential lock are present and work perfectly. The gear knob is below and next to the gearbox stick. The BodyThe aluminum body and paintwork are in a very good condition and look like new! Of course you can see here and there that it isn’t a new vehicle. for a 26 year old vehicle. it is really beautiful! The bulkhead and foot wells are clean and rust free. The doors are totally straight and have rust free bottoms. which is pretty unique. The windows work as they should. the same goes for all the locks. Please take care of the door hinges. they tend to rust if not regularly greased. The Defender has a tow bar with electrics. The ChassisThe complete chassis is in a very good condition and anti-rust coated. It is hard and strong as to expect from this Defender. It has been coated with a special impregnation substance that prevents rust and keeps it strong. This was done every two years by the previous owner and just been done by us. So no work on that in the near future. The VINThe chassis number or VIN is clearly visible. UK338773Serial number The InteriorThe inside of the vehicle is clean. tidy and original. The 5 seats and the 2 rear benches are dressed in completely new Diamond-Style black leather (see pictures). All the seats have good quality or new seat belts. Between the two front seats there's a new cubby box with two cup holders. We left the dashboard original. this because of the fact that we try to keep the vehicle as original as possible and because US Customs needs to see at least some original parts that tell it isn't a new vehicle but an original restored vehicle. Brakes. Suspension and SteeringOn the front we placed new brake discs. calipers and pads. On the rear we placed new brake drums. shoes and cylinders. On both front and rear we placed new springs and heavy duty shocks. The power steering system works flawless. The tiresThe Defender has got 5 brand new “Boost Alloy” wheels with 5 brand new Enduro Runway all terrain tires. Furthermore we used 30mm aluminum wheel spacers on all 4 axle ends to be able to mount the brand new wheels and give the Victoria IV a tougher touch. ServiceIt has just got a full service. All the oils and lubricants in the axles. gearbox. transfer box and so one have been replaced. The Defender’s power steering system is in excellent condition. Customs. title and deliveryThe vehicle passed all DOT. EPA and DMV tests/inspections and is 100% USA legal. Furthermore. in contrast to a lot of Defenders for sale on eBay. nbsp;this Defender is already in the US. Maryland. and has cleared customs. meets all EPA & DOT regulations and has a clear VA title.
