1971 Land Rover Series IIA 88” 4X4 This auction is for my 1971 Land Rover Series IIA, 8” 4x4. The vehicle was restored prior to my purchasing the truck 3 years ago. My understanding was that the truck restoration was completed in 2008 timeframe. This is exceptionally clean, ntirely solid and mechanically excellent final-year 1971 Land Rover Series IIA 88” truck. The truck has been driven on weekends since the restoration. All mechanicals work great and it drives excellent. Since I purchased the truck I have had the brakes replaced (drums), arburator tuned, uel guage/tank sending unit replaced, uel pump replaced, ew tires, nd a few other minor repairs made. My mechanic is a specialist in Dallas for Rovers (Oliver’s Automotive) and will tell you that the brakes and engine are strong. Compression is strong and steering is straight. This Rover starts right up, ven after sitting for a few weeks and even in the winter. The vehicle is always stored in my garage. No rust anywhere on the truck. 4x4 works great. The Land Rover starts quickly, dles, nd runs excellent. No cooling issues even in 100 degree Texas weather. This is a very clean Land Rover. Very nice redone interior panels, loor mats, eadliner as well as seats front and back jumpseats. This vehicle draws a ton of looks and comments. My daughter and I count the “thumbs up” that we get on weekends from driving it around. We rarely keep the hard top on because it is much more fun without it. Real easy to remove the hard-top...just takes a few minutes and a little help lifting it off. Sorry I don't have a better pic with the roof off. I purchased the vehicle from a private collector who kept the car in his climate controlled warehouse. He needed room for more expensive vehicles so purchased it 3-4 years ago. These vehicles are extremely tough and great four wheelers. Overall, his is a very clean and excellent running Series IIA Land Rover. Very clean inside and out and ready for some four wheel fun, ruise to the car show (you’ll be the only one there with one of these), r venture out with the Land Rover club. Feel free to ask any questions or if you want more pictures. You will enjoy this vehicle! Average retail on these vehicles on NADA.Com is in the $24,000 range. I believe this truck is way better than average. Reserve is low as I now have a teenage driver and the garage is full. I hope that I don’t get in trouble for this but if you Youtube Cowtown Rover Fort Worth you will see an old link to my truck. This is where I saw the truck before I bought it.
