I reluctantly offer my 1979 Chevy brush fire truck for auction. This truck spent 35 years at the same fire department in Michigan. The fire chief has assured me this trucks 17,000 miles are original. He told me the city in which this fire truck protected was only 13 square miles and really did not see very many brush fires. Every time the truck was pulled out the door it did get a bath and regular maintenance. The truck has the heavy dutyfront and rear axles, 350 V8 engine and a 4 speed transmission with low gear and lock out hubs. The truck runs great highway or back roads. The 4 wheel drive works as it should along with everything else. This truck is very solid and is like a time capsule. The emergency lights are still on the truck and the controller is still in the truck but has been disconnected. The siren is still on the truck as is the controller and is hooked up. Not only does it play several sirens but it is also a loud speaker, t's a lot of fun.The fire station logo's have been removed and the truck has been repainted once. The wheels and bumper have been painted too. This truck is not perfect but with the ultra low miles and documented history this truck could bring a very high price, just don't have time to tinker with it. The battery trays and the forward most cab supports are rusty most likely due to getting a million baths over its lifetime at the fire station. The drivers side floor board edgehas had a small patch (probably due to bathing too). I can not find any other evidence of repair. The truck is super original and drives great, am being a 100% honest because that is the way I do business. Believe it or not, his truck still has its original brake pads and exhaust. Truck does have new BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. This truck, even withits minor flaws sells its self. You would have a hard time finding a better example of a original k30. I do have a copy of the original title proving mileage. Please come see the truck in person, ou will not be disappointed. The truck is availablefor you to inspect in Cincinnati,Ohio.Sold as is where is. Also please feel free to call me at 513-612-8479 if you have any questions. Please have a good bid history and be serious. Thanks and happy bidding. I have opened bidding at a super fair price compared to others. Someone will be buying a great truck, y only reservation is that I'm going to regret selling. I know I'll never find another with these low miles.
