1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Classic coupe. Unmolested, riginal car. 130,000 actual miles. Third owner. Runs strong, 50 V-8, -speed automatic. Clock, M/FM cassette. Carpet and headliner good. Some fraying on seat upholstery. Good tires. Original paint is lacquer-checked, inor rust at base of rear window. Missing title, ut can assign a bill of sale. Car needs someone who will give it TLC.
Additional information (please read fully before bidding):Car always starts and runs strong. Garaged, ut I always start up and let it run every couple months. It has a new Delco battery. It has a rebuilt transmission and the carburetor was recently overhauled. The engine bay needs detailing. It has power steering and brakes. The exhaust system seems good.
The car has all four wheel covers and has Goodyear radial tires with lots of tread left. The hood ornament is missing but I have another one in the glove box. There is a scrape on the right door and minor rust under the rear window. The plastic taillight housing on the right side has a hole in it but can be patched. The paint is original but badly checked. No major body damage. The trunk floor has surface rust. The undercarriage probably does also. The grille is slightly bent. The chrome bumpers are good. The wheel well mouldings are fair. There is dealer-installed side mouldings. The one on the right side door is missing. The glass is good. The inside rear-view mirror has fallen off. The headliner is almost perfect. The carpets are good. The seats have fraying on the passenger side and under the back window. I have some original fabric in the car. The seat vinyl is good. The package shelf needs replacing. The dash is cracked and needs replacing. The speedometer needs cleaning (looks like mildew on the face from moisture). The dash lights do not work (might be a bad light switch) but the lights and wipers do work. Not sure if the washers work. It has a Delco radio with cassette. It has a clock which needs to be converted to quartz. Dome light works. Drivers side window rattles. Seat belts work.
I bought this car 14 years ago with the intention of restoring it because it is a solid original car. It spent most of its life in San Francisco (outside) and belonged to an elderly gentleman who kept meticulous records. Not sure if I still have them. I have only put about 2,000 miles on it since I bought it in 2002. 2009 was the last year registered; a friend agreed to buy it and go to the DMV and register it in 2011, ut he lost the pink slip.
Shipping/transport is the responsibility of the buyer. Please ask if you have any questions.
