My 1962 Land Rover 109 5 door Series IIA Safari Station Wagon (Left Hand Drive) with 78563 original miles. It is registered in Colorado with a clear diesel title. Feel free to email me questions-
With the power steering and diesel power- It drives really well, handles well on tight turns and corners. It is an awesome truck!
This truck has been a frame off/up rebuild. Starting in 2012, the truck was completely taken down to the frame. This truck brings the old feel of the Series IIA Safari rig feel with a number of upgrades for comfort and performance.
Every item on this truck has been gone through very thoroughly. Most, but not all of this vehicle has been upgraded and overhauled to make it a reliable/dependable vehicle for remote off highway travel as well as every day driving. Mechanically the truck has essentially been completely redone.
Of note:
*When doing the Diesel Conversion, the Defender front end was added for the grill and hood to allow for more room in the engine compartment.
Starting with:
*New Galvanized frame
*Engine: Land Rover Defender 200TDI
Fully rebuilt with (new rods, pistons, .030 bore over on the cylinder heads)

It is a clean truck, minor dings (small hail dents on passenger doors) and small scratches, but it is only cosmetic.
Interior has been fully Rhino Lined, each panel individually so you can still remove the panels.

Seats: New Leather seats out of a Series 2 Discovery. (Seats 5, - Rear area sideways seats could be installed-but I opted for cargo space)
Front Seats are heated and electric adjustment.

Wheels: 16" original wheels
New custom Mantec Snorkle for raised clean air intake.
Before I purchased it, it was inspected by Roadside Werx in Colorado where over 20 Land Rover Defenders have been rebuilt. (not this one). Their comments were:
"Congratulations on getting the Safari 109”, It’s a great truck! All the fluids looked great and topped off the last time the truck was at our shop (about a month ago). Also, the driveshafts look good, tires are close to brand new, exhaust is in good shape. The motor was actually installed using a kit from England by another shop but the install looks good. We have not serviced the transmission or transfer case. It does shift well though and transmission and T-case seem to be functioning well. The 110” front end was installed correctly, and all lights on the truck function. Electric seats work as well. Overall, its a solid truck. If there is anything you would like us to service please let us know."
