Myself and N. Scott Momaday - a Pulitzer prize winning author from New Mexico. for Momaday info. N. Scott Momaday - Wikipedia. the free encyclopediaHe owned it until 2003 and I have owned it ever since. This particular Rover is the very rare TWR edition. This acronym stands for Tom Walkinshaw Racing. and this is the company that prepped the Paris/Dakar winning Range Rover for 1981. Tom Walkinshaw Racing - Wikipedia. the free encyclopediaThis is the Holy Grail of rare classics - rangerovers. net once estimated only 7 were still on the road. From the Rangerovers. net website"Brooklands/TWR: A small number of U. S. Range Rovers (only SWB model) were sold with a body-styling kit designed by Tom Walkenshaw Racing (TWR) for $1. 95 more than the standard County Classic. The TWR body kitwas first introduced back in 1991 on the European Brooklands model that was never sold in North America. In February 1995 LRNA issued a press release that said: "The TWR kit adds a unique and attractive appearance to the classic Range Rover. The kit is specially fitted at the Factory and is available on a limited number of Epsom Green and Beluga Black County Classics. A dealer installed accessory version of this kit will become available during the second quarter of 1995. " I have had a ton of adventures with this rover and will definitely miss it but my wife's Discovery needs a new engine and she refuses to part with it. I have tried to maintain this Rover as best I could over the years and have a ton of spare parts and all my receipts that will go to the new owner. I have done a substantial amount of work on this car over the years including new brakes. mufflers. tires etc. The engine has about 30. 00 miles since a full rebuild. This included; new camshaft. new cam. main. and rod bearings. new lifters. head gaskets with new bolts. nbsp;full valve job. re-manufactured Bosch 4 hole injectors ( better MPG!)new water pump. etc. This past year I had a new water pump installed along with a new timing set. new serpentine belt. new front main seal and all new coolant. I also purchased the Hankook Dynapro's that are on the truck. These tires look new and have only 16. 92 miles on them. I also installed the Terrafirma springs and the Pro-comp shocks - I loved the original air suspension but it needed some new bladders and I thought it would make it more maintenance free to swap them out. All of the EAS parts I removed are included and everything else is still there if the new owner would want to switch it back. The alternator is also new this year and had to be replaced due to a fire on the back of the old one. Everything works and the only reminder is a bit of heat damage to the fan shroud. Exterior looks good and has been painted by a local paint shop twice since I have owned it. Interior is OK - seats are still comfortable but the drivers leather is missing a piece. I will include the sheepskin seat cover that I always have on there. Everything works except the cruise control and the only dash light on is the EAS. Vehicle tows great and comes with the 4 pin connector. Stereo works great with a later OEM CD player and new Boston Acoustics in the mid range position up front and in the rear. This car comes with all the original owner's paperwork including the bill of sale. "a royal welcome" pre-delivery checklist. and the manuals for the Air Suspension and the radio code. I also have the original owners manual. the never used tool kit. and the jack and tire chocks that come inside the spare tire. Some of the spare are as follows;all 4 air springs (will need new bladders)spare water pump3 headlights 3 spare height sensors for the EASan EAS control modulean EFI control unita complete EAS valve blockfog lights and the brackets to mount thema complete dash assemblya rear tail light lots of misc. relays lots of bulbs2 spare serpentine belts 8 oil drain plug gasketsa spare fan clutchspare windscreen washer jets. Overall. this is a very good looking. mechanically refreshed example of a rare Range Rover. This car has not been a garage queen but has been used as a Rover should. The car runs well and drives nice with no surprises. I do have the vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end the listing. I do have a lot more pictures - http://slickpic. us/715230NIMh Title is clear and in my possession. This 20 year old car does not come with a warranty. Buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding. I am in Albuquerque in the 87114 zip. Questions?
