Red, 1990, 5 speed, all original

Beautiful 1990 Volkswagen convertible that was bought to restore and commute back and forth to work cheaply. This 25 year old classic continues to get 30+ mpg! I must sell because of a need for a station wagon because of my job. The convertible top not only is a breeze to put up or take down. but is in great condition. I have had all the shifter bushings replaced by a former certified Volkswagen tech. The dent in the side behind the passenger door (see pic) is from a deer that decided to run into me! No. I didn't hit him. he hit me! No. he didn't die. just shook his head and ran off. The small hole in the fender flair was from his antler. This car is not perfect. but it is a classic that needs to be taken care of by someone who knows classic cars. New belts. and recent timing belt replacement. Yes it has A/C. no. it doesn't work. Does it need freon. or is it the compressor? I don't know. Who needs A/C? You have a convertible! Yes the back window is glass. with defroster. If you are looking to restore a fun little car. this one is great. Is it perfect? No. Is it new? No. Will it make you smile every time you drive it? Absolutely. I do not have the history of this car. but I will tell you anything I know. There is no warranty. buy as is. I cannot deliver and do not want to trade. Cash or certified cashier's check only.
