Description

Get a jump on top-down summer fun by purchasing my 1964 Corvette Convertible. It's a 3-owner car which I've owned since 1991 (nearly 25 years). It original options include Power Steering, -speed, M-FM Radio, eather Seats, nd the 327-300HP engine. For the first 15-years of my ownership, chipped away at deferred maintenance while enjoying it as a weekend cruiser and displaying it at local shows. Since it was still fairly original, n 2007 I started prepping the car for NCRS judging. Most of the car's major components are now correct to NCRS standards. I have photo documented most of the numbers and dates on the car, nd have over $46K of receipts for labor and materials. I reunited the car with its original owner in Maryland in 2009, o its history is well known! Of course, he second owner told me even more.
The paint dates from 1983. There is some road rash, ut its luster is holding up well as can be seen in the pictures. The second owner renewed the rear wheel bearings and U-joints in 1987. The interior was renewed in 1989. The instruments were restored in 1993. Most of the exterior and interior chrome was renewed in the early 90s. All of the rubber suspension components and the brakes have been renewed during my ownership. The clutch was replaced in 2007. The engine was rebuilt in 2011, nd now has about 9000-miles on it. A dated Al Knoch top was installed in 2012. I also have three wheel/tire sets for the car (see the pics). The chassis is very rust free; it was a southern car up to 1996. Under my ownership, t has always been garaged.
See, he car's current mechanical condition belies its age! I estimate the car has about 200,000 miles on it (the odometer has stopped twice). However, ery little of the car has this much wear.
The engine is not original to the car, ut the block, eads and all external components are original or casting code and date code correct per NCRS. Note: although externally the engine is a 300HP, t has been tweaked internally to put out a flywheel-dyno-tested 340 to 380 HP depending on the intake.
Thieves removed the original VIN and Trim Tag in the 1960s, ut the car does have a legitimate and legal new VIN. I have copies of 3 different state Titles showing this new VIN going back to 1978. Some may say that this car can't be "numbers matching" without an original VIN. I do know the original VIN from other places on the car. I am confident to say that this car is probably more "numbers matching" than many cars that are advertised as such (this is why I say "NCRS correct").
Recently, have undone a few things that were previously correct. In most instances, f an original or correct part is not on the car right now, probably have it. These are: the intake manifold and carb, dual circuit master cylinder, n under-car chambered exhaust, nd a Vette Brakes GT handling package. Right now, he only things that don't work are the odometer (stopped in 2007, ut I've logged 16K miles since then) and the ammeter (which tries to work on occasion).
I consider the car to be "an older restoration or a well maintained original." The car is well sorted and reliable, nd has no mechanical or electrical needs. I never hesitate to take it on long trips. I'm starting the bidding at a price that coincides with two recent Barrett-Jackson sales of what I felt were comparable cars. The various price guides indicate that this car could still be a good value at prices up to $55K. By the way, ll the stuff that will convey with the car will not fit in the car - so bring another vehicle to carry all the extra parts, tc.

I will not sign over the Title or release the car until all funds have been received and cleared. I've priced this car to sell quickly. It's a great car to drive and I know you'll have a lot of fun in it too!
