Description

Up for auction is my 1965 chevy c-10. I have owned this truck for 8 years and have done a lot to get it running.
This truck left the factory a long bed with a 292 six-cylinder engine. When I bought it I replaced the 292 with a good working 250 from a 77 nova. The 292 was knocking pretty bad and burning a lot of oil. I also replaced the original powerglide transmission with one that had been recently rebuilt by the Boise City Fire Department for an older 1968 K10 that they used for brush fires in the foothills. I believe it has around 8000 miles on it since the rebuild. Both the 250 engine and the powerglide transmission work fantastic.
The frame was professionally shortened and reinforced at cut point. Rear cab mounts relocated, mergency brake cables and driveshaft shortened. New u joints and tranny seals. Short fleet bedsides installed, o cut down long bedsides. This truck starts, dles, rives and stops very nicely!!
Here is a bit more on this truck:

The Good:
* New battery.* New turn signal switch and harness.* Headlight high and low beam relay conversion.* New headlight switch.* New heater blower motor and rebuilt heater box. Blows hot!* Solid tires. Plenty of life and tread.* Power steering conversion. One finger steering!* Brakes rebuilt last year. New master cylinder, heel cylinders, oses and hardware. Brakes well for being drums all around.
* Very nice factory optioned steering wheel. Horn ring in fantastic shape, o cracks.* Solid windshield, o cracks or chips.* Original 15"6 lug, nub rims.* New battery box installed.* New spark plugs.* New ignition coil installed on HEI distributor.* Internally regulated alternator conversion with new alternator.* Motor mounts and tranny mount.
* Grill in amazing condition with no dents. Had a grill guard on it since new.* Holes in front bumper are from same factory original grille guard that I would consider selling along with the truck for an additional fee.
* Inner fenders, adiator support, nd grill support are all rust free original, nd have been sandblasted and repainted chassis black. Original paint on the front of grill support has been left untouched to retain patina look.

The Bad:
*Passenger side front fender needs some body work down at the bottom. It shows signs of having been repaired in the past (not by me) and should be re-done properly.
*The floor in the cab is badly rusted through, nd would require quite a bit of metal work. For this reason, ncluded in the auction isa nicer, ig back window cab (see pictures) that the buyer can use to replace the cab that is on the truck currently. I do not have a title for this cab.
Passenger bedside is thrashed. New aftermarket bedsides are available now and is the best option. Drivers bedside is beat up as well, ut is in much better condition andcan be repaired.
*The tailgate is not the best that I have seen, nd I would replace. I have a nice one that I can include in the sale for an additional fee.
* Drivers wing window broken, ood used wing window assembly included.* Tranny dipstick broken, ill need to be replaced.
This truck has had a lot of work done to it, nd still needs a bit more. The focus in my work on this truck was getting a good, eliable drivetrain and braking system, ith updated electrical components. Obviously I didn't get around to the aesthetic part of the build, ut it is still a good project for someone to finish up.
