2000 LEXUS ES 300 PLATINUM EDITION - MINT ONE FAMILY CALIFORNIA CAR HISTORY My father purchased this fine automobile new on May 28. 2000. from Lexus of Riverside. 3150 Adams Street. Riverside. CA. He was meticulous. and saved everything. including the original window sticker. purchase documents. and all service records and receipts. keeping them in his file over the years. There was nothing that needed to be done that he didn't do. and I believe this is a reflection of the excellent condition the car is in to this day. I bought the Lexus from my dad on October of 2012. and I must admit. it has been one of the finest automobiles I've ever owned. Not only does it run and drive well. but the leather seats. for example. are wonderfully comfortable. This has been of particular importance to my wife who. having had two recent back surgeries. didn't know that there could be a car this fantastic for a trip. At the present time we have too many cars. and will let this fine automobile go to someone else that can enjoy it as much as we have. COSMETICS This car has factory original paint. has never been in an accident. and has always been treated with the care that a Lexus deserves. When you get a chance. look down the side of the vehicle in one of the photographs above. You will see an example of a car that. in my opinion. is AS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. retaining much of the beautiful condition it was in when purchased new. I have NOT FOUND any signs of CANCEROUS RUST underneath the car. or anywhere else. for that matter. All chrome. rubber. insignias. and more are in very good to excellent condition. The windshield is in good original condition. The CHROME WHEELS were a $1. 00. factory option. the Gold Insignia Package a $595 option. and the Lexus Interior Wood Package $895. THE INTERIOR. in my opinion. looks as good in person as it does in the photographs. I have found one small split. about 3/8 of an inch. in the side panel of the passenger seat. which is easy to miss if you don't look close. The clear plastic that covered the wood grain surrounding the four dash vents and on the glove box could be added. to be up to the gloss of the rest of the interior woodgrain. I put new factory original floor mats in the car when I first got it. and they remain in very good condition. The original carpets underneath are absolutely excellent. as is the headliner and visors. Includes Michelin 205/60R16 radials in good to very good condition. MECHANICS But the best is yet to come! The engine fires right up. runs cool and strong. and does everything these trustworthy 3 liter 6 cyl. engines have been doing so well for so many years. The ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER indicates that this ES300 gets 26 mpg on the highway. but I know from two and a half years experience that it can easily get 30 mpg. The transmission falls in gear nicely. and shifts as smooth as glass. including overdrive. The brakes are good. and the power steering responsive. The radio works beautifully. but the CD player currently does not. The cruise control doesn't activate. There is an illusive noise somewhere in the suspension that will come and go. Otherwise. everything else. in my opinion. works quite well. The above is based on my personal ownership. and is not a professional mechanical inspection. Recent battery. fresh lube. oil and filter. INCLUDED Includes clear California title in my name. current registration. factory spare and jack. trunk mat in like-new condition. original owners manual in its Lexus leather carrying case. brand new snow chains. still in the box. the previously mentioned original window sticker in MINT CONDITION (sold new for over $38. 00. ) and over 40 receipts documenting cosmetic and mechanical care from day one.
