Description

Incredible ORIGINAL car from renowned Lincoln Collector!

Exterior Color: White

Interior: Black Leather

Mileage:49,000345

I acquired this absolutely magnificent original Lincoln 4/door Continental convertible fromone of the world's foremost Lincoln collectors.

He had at least one from every year in his collection... these 4 door convertibles were produced by Lincoln between 1961-1967.

He acquired this particular car from electrical contractor in the Chicago area who purchased this car new in 1963. He found it in an ad in 1968 in the Chicago Tribune. The original seller explained that he never driven the car any other time than in the summer...when he bought it in 1968 it had 30,000 miles...today...some 47 years laterit has 49,000

There has never been another convertible produced with the quality of this ride.

This car was kept in storage except when it was driven on a rare occasion. It has been meticulously maintained and drives incredibly one would expect a 49,000 original mile car to drive.

The paint is mostly original and looks fabulous. However, he lower portion of both sides have been repainted and look fabulous. (no rust ever)

The former owner who is now 89 years young said that over 38 years he had looked at many, any other 1963 Continental convertibles...but never found one as nice as this one!

So consequently, his was the very first 4/door Lincoln Continental Gentleman ever purchased for his collection and was never replaced simply because he never could find a better one.

Everything works correctly but the clock...it needs nothing...

When he bought it in 1968 he drove it at 90 mph home to Nebraska without a hitch...and today you will still cruise down the highway in complete comfort & safety.

The top works flawlessly, he top was replaced in 2013and the mechanism is all original.

THe leather interior is original, nd is beautiful.

It has always been kept indoors and meticulously maintained.

There are 2 things one can never buy in a vintage car...they are MILEAGE and ORIGINALITY... and this car has them both!

You might have the ability & desire to pay more...but you don't. I would always rather have a gorgeous Original mileage car than one that has been restored...so if your looking for the very best in an original 4/door Lincoln convertible that drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor...this is THE one!
