Description

This is not a fish tank starter set This is my mom's (70+ years old) Lincoln. I bought it for her on 05/03/2013 as a winter car since she drives a convertible in the summer. Car runs good in the snow, ut I always switched to snow tires (new last year) in the winter on separate rims (not included in this auction and I will auction after this is sold)

She bought it from her 80+ year old girlfriend whose husband died. He was the original owner and the car was always dealer serviced. It had 98,000 on it when I bought it and now it has 124240 when the pictures were taken last week. She still drives it a little so there will be a few more miles on it. Runs great and I didn't think much of it when I first got it, ut I love it since it rides like you are sitting on the couch. What is also awesome is that the trunk is huge. Can easily fit two people in the trunk and more if you are going to stack. Can put 4 snow tires on rims in the trunk and the trunk will shut.

Since I bought it, he following was done:

  • Windows were tinted $150

  • New catalytic converter $150

  • new front shocks $150

  • new rear solenoids for air suspension $50

  • New driver side window regulator $50

  • I have a new passenger side window regulator that is not installed (easy job) and comes with purchase

  • New battery (this year) $100

  • New front shocks and rotors $100

  • New rear shocks and rotors (this year) $100

  • reglued the headliner in the back of the car (needs touch up)

  • New sparkplugs

  • new air filter (I might have another new one that I'll throw in if I can find it)

  • Installed and wired a tow hitch (to get lawn dethatcher in spring on 4x8 trailer) $150

The car will fire up with no problems. Will pass Connecticut emissions with zero problems. If you live in CT, ou can register as a Classic car which means that property tax is under $50 a year. Has a remote starter installed but it doesn't seem to work as of last week. Has LoJack installed but I never activated it and probably wasn't activated for 10 years or more.

I installed a different radio head unit into it so you can listen to an IPOD if you select CD Changer on the radio.

Now for the bad parts of this car. I'm going to be as honest as I would want someone else to be to me. If you buy one of these cars you are going to have issues since some of the issues below are on every Lincoln from the 90s.

1. Has the 'Check Air Suspension' warning light on, s they all do. Doesn't affect the suspension, ust the light is on. When it's warm it doesn't come on as much.

2. The car will sometimes start without a key if you don't turn the key all the way to the off position (I found this to be a positive)

3. I put in about 1/2 quart every two weeks, ut it doesn't drip oil, o it must burn it.

4. Passenger side window rolls up slowly, ut new regulator is included.

5. Two center caps are missing. I kept replacing them at $20 a piece, ut they keep flying off so I don't bother.

6. There is a warning light on the dash which I researched to a ABS sensor located in the front bumper that runs about $40.

7. Needs new hood ornament. (About $20 bucks)

8. There are some body issues (see pics)

9. Driver's seat belt must be clicked on a certain way (you either have to reset the spring with a key or just jam it in there or it will pop out). I already replaced this part ($20) but it's happening again. (Common issue on these cars)

If you have any questions, 'll try to answer to the best of my ability.
