I would like to present to you my 1948 Lincoln Continental, r my celebrity Lincoln, reviously by a military man near Seattle, A. It still has a USAF base sticker dated 1961. The car has been featured on television’s “Vintage Vehicle Show” and showcased by LeMay's “The America Car Museum”, nd in the Pacific Northwest Region CCCA Bumper Guardian Magazine (2012) front cover & rear cover. The car was assembled on February 26, 948, nd shipped on March 2,1948. Production was stopped soon after that date. It is very possible that this is the last car, f this model, uilt, nd it has been magnificently restored. This car has 67,116 miles, nd driven over 7,000 miles since the restoration. This car is a real show stopper and has earned countless awards and trophies. This Continental Club Coupe has been restored to very near stock and original condition. There are some modifications made to improve its appearance, afety and performance. The interior was made with the original ripcord material for the seats. The headliner, arpet and floor mats were custom-made based on the original design. The power window system was rebuilt, he radio with the Wonderbar has been rebuilt and fully operational, nd the clock works intermittently. The V-12 engine was rebuilt, ew rings, earings, ew old-stock hydraulic lifters, alves, alve springs, nd much much more. The oil system was modified with a high pressure oil pump. The three speed transmission with overdrive wasrebuilt. The brake system wasrebuilt. As an extra safety feature, have added power brakes with a power booster located below the floor, ith the master cylinder that has dual ports for the front and rear wheels. The electrical system wire bundles were replaced with original cloth cover wiring. I'm using two 6 volt Optima batteries (in parallel) to supply 6 volts to the electrical system, nabling better and faster cranking. The body was disassembled with the fenders removed and painted. Repairs between the fenders and the body were complete as needed, rimed and painted. The underside of the car was wire brushed clean, rimed and undercoated. All glass on the car is original except the driver door and the passenger door. There isa small radiator leak, minor oil leak from the engine and the driver door window has a hairline crack. The heater hose is not currently connected to the engine.I'm selling my “celebrity" Lincoln because I can no longer maintain it at the high quality it deserves. With the car you'll get a large load of spare parts: TwoV-8 engines(368 Lincoln engines, believe -one rebuilt short block with dome pistons, he other is a used short block that was in the car with an adapter to the transmission when I bought it),he engine adapter with many V-8 engine parts, wo stock transmissions, nbsp;drop axles, hassis springs, teering parts with gear box, wo steering wheels, pare radiators for the V-8 & V-12, nbsp;four spare wheels and tires, rake parts, pare V-12 heads, -bolt intake manifold, nstruments, nd many more parts.
