Description

Hello everyone. I want to describe everything about this car I can to you so you feel safe purchasing this vehicle.
The car runs great! We've always changed the oil/filter when the 3,000 miles were up. We always topped the fuel off at fill-ups. We hope the car goes to a person who has the means to keep it going as long as possible!

First, 'll give all the positives:
  • I changed the induction manifold with the upgraded model last November.
  • Tires are only a year old and they are Michelin Defender - very fancy!
  • When we first got the car in 2008 I changed the heater core, he water pump, he radiator, nd the water pump pulley due to a blown heater core.
  • The rear air shocks were changed five years ago.
  • I replaced all the coil over plugs over the last two years.
  • I replaced the spark plugs in January of 2015
  • The alternator was replaced with a new 220 Amp police grade model four years ago.
  • The front suspension was changed out about five years ago. Certain items have been replaced in the from suspension since then also.
  • One of the two fuel tank straps was replaced due to the strap rusting.
  • We've had a K&N air filter in since we purchased it and we've cleaned it regularly.
  • We have the original Ford Service manuals (not Chiltons or some knockoff) to give to the buyer.
  • It has a HUGE trunk that my wife jokingly says will hold 4 bodies..... at least I hope she's joking.
  • Multiple keys and remote key FOB included.

  • And the negatives:
  • The air conditioner doesn't work. I've done simple troubleshooting down to the compressor. I changed the compressor pulley when it broke off in August. A month after theTemperatureControlfuse started blowing. I removed the compressor relay and the fuse stopped blowing. So the heat and vent work just fine.
  • The exhaust has a leak at one of the unions under the middle of the car (see picture). Before we got the car someone welded the union, o you can't just replace the blown seal. The pipe ends just need to be cut off and then put a flex pipe fix it kit on ($9 at AutoZone). A neighbor friend said that he can fix this for $50, f you wanted to buy the car and have this fixed cheaply.
  • The left side view mirror was damaged and now it won't move. The right side will not move using the power feature.
  • Heated seats haven't worked since we got the car.
  • Sun roof motor works, ut we unplugged it because the sunroof doesn't ride in its' tracks. It stays in the up position just fine though.
  • Tape player doesn't play tapes that well.
  • See exterior damage in images.
  • The rivet holding the right door lock motor broke off. So a simple 1/4" aluminum pop rivet will fix it, ut the door has to be taken apart.
  • The left air shock check valve leaks, o the left side constantly bleeds down when the car is off (see picture).
  • We got a chip in the windshield two years ago.
  • In the warmer weather with the car running, hen you open the fuel cap, he RPM with typically lower, ut picks back up. I have no idea what that's about. It's done this since day one.
  • The air bag light comes on regularly.
  • The auto lamp function doesn't work.
  • The front end pops when turning the wheel far to the left or right.
  • The car creaks in the front end when I drove it last. I'm completely certain it needs a lube since all the car has been sitting a lot lately.
  • Passenger side window goes up and down slow, hough it's been like that for sometime now.
  • Lumbar button panel on left side is pulling out or its socket.
  • No ashtray covers (the car has been smoke free!).
  • The heavy duty hook and loop that holds the ceiling cover up doesn't hold on rear side of the sun roof opening. So it droops and inch or so right there.
  • The doors need an annual white lithium lube or they creek,
  • Please know that I will be updating this as my wife and I remember more about it's history! We'll be cleaning the interior tomorrow, o those images will come after that. So visit back!
