Description

Here is a 1937 Lincoln V12 Zephyr 4 door sedan that was stopped in mid-restoration due to the owners finances. All though the speedometer reads 11. 00 miles. I can not verify the actual mileage. This vehicle. upon dis-assembly was all there and intact but was not running. The interior is driver quality at best but excellent for patterns as it really needs a complete interior. The complete interior was removed. The headliner and carpets were beyond salvage so they were discarded. The engine block and transmission were not stuck or frozen. There was a clear title but has been misplaced. so it will only be sold with a "Bill of Sale". If the title is found. it will be forwarded to the new owner. There will be a $500. 00 Non-Refundable deposit within 48 hours at the end of the auction. The balance must be paid within 7 days at the end of the auction. Do not bid if you cannot meet these requirements and if you bid you have accepted all terms and agreements listed. Many parts have been restored. cleaned and individually packaged. bins or organized. There are manuals and booklets as well as the disassemble photos to aid the new owner. This was a very clean and straight all original car and factory original paint. that was all numbers matching and never messed with. The sheet metal is very straight and an excellent grille. The car was disassembled and the complete body was stripped of all of its original paint down to the metal. including the floors and undersides. After this was done. small minor rust holes appeared in the floor pans and edges of the 4 fenders and body area were the fenders bolted on to the body. There was no rust visible in the exterior visual areas of the car. so it was shocking to see this after the original factory paint was removed. It still is considered minor rust repair. There was rust-threw found under the right headlight bucket but is unseen after it is re-bolted in. The metal running boards however are rusted badly and will need to be replaced or re-fabricated. I have a number of a man that does that. so I can pass that on. The complete car and all stripped parts were put in a catylized primer for protection. The transmission was gone threw. painted factory colors and the shifter was re-chromed. The brake cross-actuator was restored as well as the pedal assembly. All of the exterior chrome parts have been show-chromed. so that expense has been completed. Over $3. 00. 00 worth. Also the 4 stainless original V12 Zephyr full hubcaps have been restored at over $800. 00 so that expense has been done as well. A beautiful set of n. o. s. running-board mats are included at a cost of $500. 00 and a n. o. s. U-Joint knuckle assembly at $300. 00 so over an additional total of $8. 00. 00 of restoration work and parts already completed. an additional total of over $5. 00. 00 of chrome work. stainless repair and n. o. s. parts will be included besides the value of the car. That is a value of $13. 00. 00 and that is not including the original cost of the car. The V12 engine has been disassembled. boiled out and mag'ed so it's ready for machining but it will not be part of the auction but it will be available to the winning bidder for an additional $1. 00. 00 and will include the bolt on components that were removed and most restored already. Those include: both manifolds. the intake and carburetor. the distributor assemble. the generator and starter. new spark plug wire set. both water pumps and various gaskets. If you have problems understanding what is included in the auction or the additional offer to the winning bidder of the engine and it's parts. please call me so I can explain or verify this so you may understand. I also have a complete Columbia 2 speed rear end set up that is applicable to this car. but will not be part of the auction but would be offered to the winning bidder for an additional amount. My number is: (320) 396-5032 and talk to Larry. This is a project you need to look at first hand and view in person or send an agent on your behalf. The car is sitting on 2 new front correct Wide Whitewall tires and 2 rear used rolling tires so it can be pushed onto a trailer. I also could possible haul for a fee if it is within 700 miles. The car has been always stored inside and near Minneapolis. Mn about 45 minutes north. If the car does not bring my very reasonable "buy it now" price. I will be thinking about parting it out as it is worth more that way anyways but just more work. I have tried my best to show the good and bad points of the car and do not want to misrepresent it's condition. I have a 100% feedback and wish to keep it that way. These cars have brought over $70. 00. 00 when done correctly so this is an excellent start at minimal expense.
