This 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe 2-Door Hardtop is finished in the original Light Jade Metallic (paint code 7Y) over a Jade Leather (trim code KR) interior with matching vinyl roof. It is powered by the original. numbers matching 460ci (7. 5L) 4V V8 engine mated to the original 3-speed automatic transmission. The 460 engine was a desired option and 1978 was the last year it was available; Lincoln dropped it in 1979 for the 400ci. This car came loaded from the factory with power locks. power windows. plush leather seats. power antenna. cruise control. power folding headlamps. and air conditioning. Everything is in working condition. including the AC and power antenna. The car was originally purchased through Stu Evans Lincoln of Detroit. MI where it remained in one family. always garage kept. In 2002. the original owner’s son had the car completely restored with new paint (7Y Light Jade Metallic) and new chrome. The body remains in excellent condition. At that time. he also added dual exhaust. an aftermarket Alpine radio deck. and had the undercarriage undercoated. Those are the only additions done to the car. In 2004. it came to West Michigan and has been babied ever since. only driving 100 or less miles per summer. The car has been routinely maintained. always stored indoors. and has a brand new battery. new brakes. and new period correct tires. This Town Coupe comes with three sets of original keys. owner’s manual. and a record or receipts. It also has a car cover and a full spare.
