1961 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Convertible in unbelievable condition.I purchased the car out of California in 2014.It is in excellent running condition and everything works as it should except for the original Wonder Bar radio. The radio recently stopped working. It comes on and there is static coming out of the speakers but it does not play.
A rare car thatis one of 3,804 produced by Oldsmobile in 1961. It was built the second week of June, 961at the Lansing, ichigan assembly plant. Superior to the other Oldsmobile models of that era, he Ninety Eight model was the top of the line Oldsmobile produced with all of the power options as standard. Less than half of those produced are believed to exist today. This vehicle underwent a full frame off restoration in 1997 and has been well cared for since. Always stored inside in a climate controlled environment since that restoration. It is a very presentable example. The car has been driven in parades and to car shows, nd it does have some nicks and chips but nothing major or that takes away form the overall appearance of the car. The interior is very nice, eats are like new as is the convertible top. The parade boot for the top and the top of the dash are both very nice. The car was painted its original color of Provincial White with a Garnet Metallic trim line. The interior is the code 385 red and the top is Garnet. It has the original drive train and it is in excellent condition with the 394 cu. in. 325 h.p. high compression engine at 10.1 compression. The car is an exceptional driver in very good condition. It would benefit from new or recolored carpetsince the existing carpet is somewhat sun faded. Overall it is a beautiful car to own and enjoy.
