The 1968 models also introduced a new 302 cid V8 engine. J was the engine code indicating the new 302-cubic-inch engine was under the hood. They were the only 302-ci, -barrel, 30 HP available that year. J code engines received flat top pistons, ron 4 intake valves, pecial covered distributor and special heads. The Mustang for 1968 received revised side scoops, teering wheel, nd gasoline caps. Side marker lights were also added that year, nd cars built after January 1, 968 included shoulder belts for both front seats.

Finished in a dark blue paint job shows well with minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Period dual racing stripes kit in a contrasting white, reaking up the blue exterior. New front and rear chrome bumpers have a good fit and finish that show well. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish. The weather stripping is still very pliable with very little shrinkage or drying. The headlights, aillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks and operate as designed.

Inside, he code 2B two-tone blue vinyl bucket seats and matching rear seat look great.. Matching blue carpet throughout the interior along with the blue door panels and dashboard. Three gauges (transmission temperature, oltmeter and oil pressure), are tastefully mounted under the dash. The simple chrome three spoke Mustang steering wheel is in good condition, lso equipped with a Mustang push-button radio and rear mounted Pioneer speakers.

This nicely presented Mustang coupe is equipped with a J-code Ford 302cid V8 engine, ed by a Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. Power is put through a C-4 3-speed automatic transmission with a 3.00:1 rear differential. Stopping this Mustang is made possible with 4-wheel drum brakes. 14-inch American Racing aluminum alloys and Michelin radial tires.
