This car is a rare find! I am the third owner of this Virginia based car, ith the 2nd owner (Richmond, a) having it from 1988 - 2015 (93% of it's life), 73,800Originalgaraged kept miles. Body and interior is in nice condition. All paint original with no rust on this car. The car runs strong both city & hwy... Car had passed Va state inspection annually up to 2015, here I converted it to Antique plates, nowing she would get limited useage. All electrical is in working condition. Gold Battery was replaced in Aug '1, park Plugs & Belts were replaced at 70k miles.Ball Joints / Gov Seals replaced at 72k miles... Fourbrand new Michelin tires were placed in June 2015 and have less than 1k miles on them. Rcpts avail for all above and service record log goes back to 1997 from 2nd owner, hose wife was the primary driver as a 2nd car.
I have the Orig manual along with the official Mercedes Benz service manuals on jpeg format, ome service records from orig owner, wo orig keys (one still in the leather holder), ard top w/ metal stand & fabric cover along with two turn keys to take the hard top off. I will also throw in a car cover and extra floor mats. All parts are orig (serial # on front grill to show authenticity).. Only exception is the Becker radio, hich was replaced with an Alpine removable cd player, hich is fully functional.
Reason for Sale: We have a new baby in the hous, ith limited garage space and lack of time to enjoy her. Hate to see this car go, ut hope a new owner can continue to enjoy her as much as we have.
For a 30yr old machine, he runs strong and looks pretty darn good. In fact, he car still has that fresh leather smell as you step in, hich is amazing. The original MB soft top has a few clean rips. Gorilla tape works for DIY, ut a new fabric top can be ordered, f looking to restore.
If you are serious about owning a classic 30 yr old Benz convertible, his is the car for you! I spent a long time looking for a 560sl in this condition (amazing ownership history) at this price point.
