Ford Pre-crossflow head on 1600 block, arly Ford gearbox (Pinto), speed Quaife shifter, arinarear axle. Speedometer not hooked-up so mileage on all is unknown.
Caterham alloy radiator, ooling fans, quick rack, teering column, tc. Alloy fuel tank, o sender.
Elan wheels (spare balanced poorly, thers fine), djustable front shocks. Heated windscreen not hooked up.
Engine runs fine, ew cam Cosworth A3 grind, ew cam followers, alve train geometry properly raised, head studs, ocker arm studs, od bolts all ARP. JE pistons. Brad Penn zinc oil used, eems clean. New Pertronix ignition and matching coil.Gearbox leaks some oil as does rear end a bit, ngine doesn't seem to be leaking any oil, r coolant. Doesn't run hot. Driveshaft built and balanced by professional shop, ual master cylinder for brakes, TE fluid used.
Comes with hood (convertible top) and hood sticks, oors, nd new wiper motor and linkage/arms for RHD car from Caterham, ever installed. Handbrake hooked-up to one rear wheel only and is from a Porsche 912. Photos show oil pressure at idle both cold and hot. Compression or leakdown unknown.
Photos show dent in hood (pretty small), hip in steering mount near bolt, nd where body was welded in lower front (alloy skin).
Selling as I just don't drive it enough. With a little more sorting out it should be a good car, would not attempt to drive it home. Priced so you could replace the entire drivetrain if you wish and not have invested too much.
Any questions please send through eBay, o I can post the answers for others. Sorry, o trades. Thank you.
6/22/2016 More photos: Hood and hoodsticks, iper kit, alve train geometry and a leakdown test done cold. My compressor would only put out 90 psi, o that's what I used. All were less than 2% with cylinder #2 being the worst as shown at about 1.5%. The plugs are shown too, ook okay. The valve clearances (again cold) were .018 intake and about .020 exhaust. Kent who made the cam I have says for the A3 profile to use .020 intake and .022 exhaust, o you pick...a bit more lift my way, nd quieter, A! Thank you.
