1950 Maserati A6 1500 Fully sorted and beautiful Mille Miglia veteran STUNNING

Excellent cosmetic condition and excellent mechanical condition. Just four years ago it ran and finished the Mille Miglia. Chassis number: 0101 - Engine number: 0101 One of the last ten A6 1500s built (out of 60 total) and one of very few A6 1500s without semaphores. I’ve tried to research the numbers. but there’s no indication anywhere of how many were built without semaphores. I’ve seen very few (maybe 3) examples. In March 1950. A6 chassis number 0101 was delivered as a rolling chassis to Carrozzeria Pinin Farina in Turin. Three months later. the car’s body was completed. Before the end of 1950. the car was delivered to Maserati’s Rome agency. Gugliemo Dei. In 1951. this A6 1500 was first sold to a Mr Catullo del Monte. of Rome. Del Monte’s ownership of the A6 1500 was short. In 1952. an American living in Rome. Edwin Henry Morris. acquired the car. A few years later. he exported it home to the United States. This A6 1500 was restored in California by Claudio Zampolli. who is best known as the designer of V-16 Cizeta supercar. It then spent some time in Virginia and subsequently went to a Japanese enthuisiast until 2014. when I bought it and imported it to the USA. The previous Japanese owner ran this beauty in the modern (2011) Mille Miglia. in which it finished right in the middle of the pack at number 175 out of 369. a very respectable finish! It's strong mechanically and structurally. I've had it thoroughly serviced and have improved this beautiful sports car cosmetically. It is ready for any kind of event. anywhere in the world. Chassis 0101 at the 2011 Mille Miglia. where it finished a respectable 175 out of 369. CONDITION The paint. metalwork and glass are all excellent. There is not one significant blemish in any part of the exterior. The interior is also excellent. without blemish and has a brand new custom fit gorgeous carpet. This car is ready for a place in any collection. to be the star of the show or to run a rally. It has a clean and clear title. has all taxes and duties paid. This car comes with a period toolroll. reproduction owners manual and a nice suitcase full of period items to accentuate the car in a concours or car show environment. I've included a period Bakalite viewmaster with six 1950/51 picture discs of Rome. where the car was delivered new.
