This propels the Granturismo 0 to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds with an impressive quarter mile of 12.9 at 110.5 mph. The 2009 "S" model also discards the older sequential robotic transmission (twin dry-plate clutch) and upgrades with the stronger ZF automatic transmission that is much more reliable and will not require the VERY expensive and frequent clutch replacements like its predecessor. The new ZF shifts very quickly and decisively, nd it seems to react more promptly to throttle inputs and steep grades than most automatics, verything you would expect from a Maserati! This transmission is also still used in the new model Granturismo. Skyhook adaptive suspension keeps this car planted and handling properly for any situation.
