1965 Maserati Mistral 3.7 Litre Coupe
Chassis No. AM109314
Engine No. AM109314
Recently Uncovered after 35 Years of Garage Storage
From 41 Years of Ownership
Numbers-Matching Engine
Stunning Frua Coachwork
An Exceptionally Solid Example for a Straightforward Restoration
The Mistral, was introduced by Maserati as the replacement for the successful 3500 GT. To many, it is considered one of Fruas most attractive designs and represents the end of the line for Maseratis famous race-bred straight-six engine.
Recently uncovered after many years of garage storage, AM109314 is presented as it was found. Its long-term owner, Mr. Wyckoff purchased the Mistral in May of 1974 and it was eventually parked in his home garage during the very late 1970s, only to make its way out just this year. Believed to be an early 1965 model, featuring a 3.7L engine, manual transmission and alloy bodywork, this beautifully unspoiled Maserati displays older cosmetics, along with numbers-matching mechanicals, original wheels and auxiliaries throughout. To be sold on its 1974 title. The paint color was changed to red in many years past, while the underlying silver can be seen in several discreet areas. After a careful inspection, the Mistral's motor turns freely and the car rolls and steers easily. As expected, a thorough mechanical recommissioning will be required prior to any use. Thanks to years of indoor storage, the car remains an exceptionally solid and complete base, with all components for a straightforward restoration. The Mistrals are becoming very desirable and sought after largely due to their beautiful lines and joy of driving. Now available for worldwide purchase and delivery, we welcome inspections and are happy to discuss this exciting find.
