I FELT THAT THIS WAS TOO NICE OF A TRUCK TO BE RACED. I WILL TRY TO DESCRIBE THIS TRUCK TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. THIS TRUCK IS A FACTORY BIG BLOCK (396) TRUCK AS SHOWN ON THE GLOVE BOX LABEL. IT ALSO CAME WITH AIR CONDITIONING WHICH IS NO LONGER INSTALLED. BODY: SEEMS TO HAVE EITHER ALL ORIGINAL OR SOMEONE HAS DONE A FANTASTIC JOB ALIGNING THE SHEET METAL. I WOULD SAY THE PAINT IS AN 8 OUT OF 10. (SEE PHOTOS) THE DRIP RAIL AROUND ALL GLASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY RUST. THE ROCKER PANELS APPEAR TO BE ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ONLY ISSUE THAT I AM AWARE OF IS THE STEEL HOOD HAD A FIBERGLASS COWL INSTALLED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THE FIBERGLASS/STEEL TRANSITION NEEDS SOME ATTENTION. ALSO THE BED HAS BEEN MINI-TUBBED TO LOOK ORIGINAL. A BED COVER HAS ALSO BEEN INSTALLED AND WE WERE CAREFUL TO SELECT ONE THAT REQUIRES NO HOLES DRILLED. A 17 GALLON GAS TANK HAS BEEN INSTALLED FROM LMC AS A BETWEEN THE FRAME MOUNT AND FILLED THROUGH THE BED. (SEE PHOTO) THE GAS GUAGE IS COMPLETELY FUNCTIONAL AND ALL GUAGES ARE AUTOMETER. INTERIOR: SEAT IS FROM A 1995 CHEVROLET TRUCK AND HAS PROFESSIONALLY RE-APOLSTERED BY PROTRIM IN SHREVEPORT. ALL SUNVISORS. DOOR HANDLES. WEATHERSTRIPPING. REAR VIEW MIRROR. SEAT BELTS. ARM REST ARE MODEL SPECIFIC AND CAME FROM LMC TRUCK. DRIVELINE: ALL SUSPENSION IS ON COIL SPRING AS IT WAS FROM THE FACTORY. NO C-NOTCH OR C-CHANNEL HAS BEEN MADE OR MODIFIED ON THIS TRUCK. THIS TRUCK IS EQUIPPED WITH 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES AND THE REAR END IS A 9 INCH FORD WITH A 3. 86 RATIO. TIRES ARE MICKEY THOMPSON ALL THE WAY AROUND TOPPED OF WITH BOYD CODDINGTON CUSTOM WHEELS. 18" IN FRONT AND 20" IN REAR. THIS TRUCK WILL COME WITH THE WELD RACING WHEELS (4) AND FRONT TIRES / REAR SLICKS. THE TRANSMISSION IS A 400 TURBO FULLY BUILT WITH A 3500 STALL CONVERTOR. ENGINE: I KNOW THAT THIS ENGINE IS A 468 BBC WITH AN EXTREMELY LARGE LIFT CAM. COMPRESSION HAS TO BE AT LEAST A 14:1 COMPRESSION RATIO BECAUSE I HAVE HAD INSTALLED THE LARGEST MAGNFLOW EXHAUST AND IT IS STILL VERY WELL HEARD. THE LAST RUN ON THE STRIP WITH THE SLICKS. THE TRUCK RAN A 10:19 WITH NO NOS. THE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A NATURALLY ASPIRATED TRUCK. I REMOVED THE HOLLEY DOMINATOR AND INSTALLED THE MSD ATOMIC EFI SYSTEM AS WELL AS A NEW IGNITION SYSTEM. (SEE PHOTOS. ) I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE SPECIFICS OF THE INTERNALS OF THE ENGINE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO NEED TO TEAR IT DOWN. THE ENGINE RUNS EXTREMELY WELL AND WAS RECENTLY BUILT BEFORE THE LAST PASS.
