2004 Mazda RX8 Power windows and locks. cloth seats. 18" wheels. manual trans. premium sound. steering wheel controls. ABS. etc. This car was swapped using all Hinson Supercars Components. It has a 2000 LS1 and trans from my Z28. The motor has ~95k miles and runs excellent. It is stock aside from an LS6 cam. LS2 timing set. Melling ported and shimmed oil pump and new gaskets. The Hinson components used in the swap are motor mount pedestals. billet underdrive pulley with CNC'd reluctor wheel for the RX8 tach. billet aluminum motor mounts. poly corvette motor mounts. trans crossmember. tubular power plant frame (torque arm). Large aluminum radiator kit with Syclone fan. PST HD driveshaft. Stainless Works 1 7/8" long tube headers with merge spikes. sway bar relocation brackets. steering relocation brackets. billet aluminum bumpsteer kit. and poly trans mount. Not to mention has a backseat and is cheaper to insure. As far as sleepers go. you will be hard pressed to find something higher ranking than this. I've never had the car on a dyno or at the track yet. It has just over 92. 50 miles and driven everyday. It drives great and has a clear Texas title in my name. It is currently inspected and passed in an emmissions county so it's good to go everywhere. With the V8 makes less emmissions than the rotary did. I take this car on long road trips often and get great gas mileage. All the gauges function like normal and no unnecessary lights are on. It is very fast and handles great. Last week I weighed the car on a certified scale and it was 3120 lbs. I filled the gas tank literally 500' away from the scale. That's 70 lbs more than the Mazda advertised RX8 6 spd weight! The rear tires have about 1000 miles on them and front tires have about 4000. I have put many miles on this car with any issues. It has cold AC and hot heat. It has a GM AC compressor with new RX8 condenser. and custom lines. Suspension is stock and it is nice and tight. It is very precise and handles very well.
